Former Parramatta and NZ Warrior cult hero Mark Tookey is about to set off on a bike ride from Logan to Canberra in an endeavour to raise $250,000 towards Royal Children's Hospital Foundation - Cerebral Palsy Health research.
The Ride will commence on October 13 and go until October 24.
Mark currently coaches South Logan Colts team in the Queensland competition and is one of the genuine good guys of the sport.
Support from the Rugby League community - or the wider sporting fraternity - would be a tremendous boost to Tooks and his endeavours. More information about the ride is available on http://www.logan.qld.gov.au/LCC/logan/thingstodo/Events/Rideforabetterday.htm

Ride for a "Better Day" is an initiative by Mark Tookey and Brett Meaclem in association with the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation - Cerebral Palsy Health. It aims to raise $250,000 toward Cerebral Palsy (CP) research.

Mark has kindly donated his high profile in the NRL community to assist in attracting celebreties and media exposure. Talks are currently being held with Channel 9, The Footy Show, local radio stations and newspapers along the coast line on the grueling 1287km ride between Logan and Canberra.

Probaly my saddest day as a tigers fan was when he scored a double against us. I think he only scored 10 tries in his career.
