Joel Moon and Liam Foran - opinions?

Hi guys, these two will be our half combo from next season or 2010. Moon coming from Brisbane and Foran from the Storm.

I have seen very little of Joel Moon, and even less of Foran. What do Broncos and Storm fans think about them? Do they have potential?

Cheers.

Both aren't a patch on Witty.

Moon was very average for the Broncos when Hodges was out, and Liam who?

Even so, I'm confident that Witty will get plenty of game time next year for the Warriors!

joel is a decent player and is naturally a 5/8 but has been playing centre for the broncos (when he's in the side)... cant really comment on him as a half though

Foran.... never really seen him

Can't comment too much on Foran but I've seen enough of Moon to form an opinion.

When given the time and preparation Moon is a fine five eigth with a superb long range kicking game and a strong running game. I still believe his future is in the lock position but I wish him all the best at the Warriors. Hope he develops into the player he should be.

Moon lacks direction. He has all the skills to become a superb five eigth but from what I've seen of him in first grade is his lack of fore-sight and his ability to sniff out an oppurtunity.

At lock he'd be able to play his natural game without as much responsibility.

If Foran and Moon are the starting pair next year then this is a definite weak link based purely on the fact that neither are experienced.

Foran had big wraps at Storm prior to the start of 08 and has performed solidly in the U20 comp.

I think he will take 2-3 years to show his true potential but should develop into a good little player.

From the little I`ve seen him, he looked much too shy and scared to make a mistake, very negative attitude. I don`t know what it takes for him to find some freedom of mind and take ownership of his game, but I hope he`ll find it in Auckland.

Yeah I would prefer to have at least one of them as a cool-headed, experienced half that the ther can learn from and get support from. I really hope they won`t both start next season, we still have Nathan Fien and Michael Witt, I`d say at least one of those will probably start for us next season, and the two young recruits will be blooded into first grade gradually.

Uh yeah sure buddy. Moon signed with the warriors because they give him great assurance that he would be playing 5/8th.

And that right there sums up there opinion on 'witty'.
