The best way to get back at French Union!

Get behind the French Rugby League team at the World Cup. Go and watch them play, buy their merchandise. These guys deserve your support as they are in the constant firing line of the French Rugby Football Union and many clubs whose attitudes haven't changed since the times of Vichy.

On another note, it's a great chance to see one of the most damaging players in the world, Djamal Fakir. This is the guy who steam rolled Lockyer a few years back (see 54 seconds into the video). I'd love to see him in the NRL one day.

In places like France and England Rugby League as a sport is going to be judged by the success of this World Cup. They've probably hardly noticed the NRL, but Rugby League in Australia will be on show for the length of the World Cup.

Ali is spot on with this thread.

Support for French Rugby League and contempt for French Rugby Union is the way to go.

And for the uninitiated like Parra troll, the abusive treatment of French rugby league by French union did not cease in 1941...

Wow, you take this whole thing seriously.

It's 2008, mate. Get over it.

Another who has no understanding of the subject matter at hand.

Unfortunately, being a rugby league fan (if you are one) doesn't mean you necessarily know anything about the sport's rich and complex history...

You'll find that I am a fan of rugby league because I enjoy watching games.

It has nothing to do with this vichy bullsh*t that people like you so dearly cling to. It's ironic that people like you will talk about how bad rugby league administration is even though they share the belief that the past is so important.

If this sport had administrators who can look forwards, rather than backwards it could be huge. There are opportunities to work with RU to break into markets dominated by football (eg France).

Don't pretend to pigeon hole me sunshine...

You don't know the first thing about me other than I know a lot more about the game of rugby league than you do.

Congratulations, Calixte. But one only has to look at your rants in this forum and in your signature to conclude that you are a bumbling idiot. "Knowing" more about rugby league than someone else does not make you superior in any shape or form.

You seem to be under the impression that by knowing and clinging to rugby league's history in France, you have all the answers to fix its problems. Fortunately, you will never be in a position to attempt that.

Yeah whatever, drizzle. I've contributed more to this place than you will in a lifetime of trying...

But good to see you are supported by yet another troll. As someone once said here, they stick to me like sh*t to a blanket.

Butters - exhibit A.

Congratulations are in order again. You're good at big-noting yourself but you fail miserably to be able to have a proper debate or discussion.

Scared are you, Calixte? Where would you be without the laughing emotion to SLAM DOWN your point. Great strategy, haha.

"But... but but but.... The vichy.... nazis... but but but.... umm... rugby union.... vichy....nazi.... ummm "
