Some worrying news coming in that may derail our 2008 season and beyond.

It has been reported on the news that 3 high profile NRL players are being investigated (apparently CH 10 alleged they were Broncos, but there is yet to be further confirmation by other sources) for you know what. No formal complaint has been put forward but the police are investigating.

Keep in mind that at this point all is alleged, no names have been made public, etc. Could well be a beat up going by past experience and the fact that Channel 10 is the station that is 'all over it'.

We shall sit, wait and hope for the best.

Just to echo on the points JW made earlier any discussion on alleged players being involved will result in some form of punishment. Speculation runs rampant when news like this is spread and honestly this board cannot afford it. So be mindful for the next few days before any official news is released to the public.

The ABC has been told a number of Brisbane Broncos players were celebrating in the club last night.

Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident but are not releasing any details.

Brisbane Broncos media manager Trad McLean says the club is aware of the allegation but has not been in contact with police.
