Given that in September there's only one external time-zone to worry about, I dare say it's just a lack of foresight from the NRL to think that the Warriors might possibly get a home final.
I remember a similar stink about the first qualifier last year between Parra & NZ, noone will care the day after the game.
Most importantly, it's got a huge crowd turning up (sold out this morning in 11 minutes), and will be shown prime time at 7:30pm when MOST people will have access to it.
Sure, it's not live - and I understand that's not part of the contract, but at the end of the day is this going to do any major harm?
It ****'s me knowing that im watching a game that was happening 1 hour ago.
Personally those "quick ads" piss me off more. It means often enough we miss the goals being kicked or even the first few tackles of the return set after the try. I'd rather it on delay where we see every single play.
Not too mention it will now be full of adds instead one quick add when a try is scored. which in itself gives the results away, the more adds that are on you know there arent many tries scored.
Ink and others, it's important to note what Ink himself posted above - the EPG entry still reads LIVE for 7:45pm. This just means the EPG both online and on all our foxtel machines hasn't been updated with the new information. It was confirmed LAST NIGHT on 2GB by NRL COO Graham Annesley that Channel Nine will screen both games live, the Friday game immediately following National Nine News at 6:30pm.
Why people are believing a rival station and absolutely no written confirmation has got me stumped...
LOL...dumbo wrong again...fancy that.
Tim tim, take your EPG's & COO's and stick em up your ASS
There is one logical solution to this
Fox should play it live and let Ch9 run with their time slot this is the only way as I see it - to be fair to the vewing ,paying and preferential public.9 has a contract and they cant stick to it so they should let FOX play it and all are happy...if I am right 9 should be sued by NRL but they wont will they ?.
Double standards and money flying out of pockets.
Never f**k with the "Fan" they screwed your Superleague crap and they bought Souths back in..........Ya just farked up again.
Put simply, that's completely in violation of the anti-siphoning laws. Nine would therefore have to delay the game until at least 8:15 or 8:30pm as they cannot show the game during the same telecast.
