I look forward to shoving your words down your throat next season, OB.

McKinnon is going to have a rocket buster of a season, he may just play SOO. Mark my words.

You've got more chance of going down on him in the off season than him getting the 6 jersey.

If Jones is fit, Fien gets the 6, if he's not, Moon does.

1 McKinnon
2 Kemp
3 Tate
4 Ropati
5 Vatuvei
6 Fien
7 Jones (God I hope he gets fit and doesn't play like a donkey)
8 Rapira
9 Henderson
10 Price
11 Mannering
12 Matulino
13 Luck

Bench

Hohaia
Lilyman
Tuimavave
Fai

IMO Matulino deserves a start ahead of Lilyman. The unluckiest player at the club is Kirk, he played very well for us at the back end of last year and can't get a gig to start off the season. It's nice all of a sudden to speak of this club having genuine depth from Under 20's to first grade.

That is my team line up also. very strong side with a awesome balance. I cant wait for Elijah Taylor to become the Warriors number 13. He is an atheletic powerhouse and would complete the Warriors backrow.

I rate him very highly. Great defensive ethic, and I think he has more ball playing ability than he showed. Loved going to a few games over here last year and seeing him range wider, ball in one hand, Ali style. You just know that if that talent is harnessed he could be a seriously wicked player.

Of course, I thought exactly the same with Faumuina...lets just hope no one points Elijah in the direction of the local. Some good backrowers coming through beyond Fai and Matulino with O'Regan (think he's a lock not a five eighth), Taylor as you say and there was another bloke who caught my eye but didn't feature a lot was Sione Lousi, he seemed a very balanced ball runner. This club is going to have a very successful next 5 or so years at least IMO and will force the NRL to give New Zealand a second side.

Take out Fai & replace him with Packer and I reckon you have a really good team.

From what I hear it is Sione Lousi's younger brother Samuela Lousi who will capture alot of attention at the Warriors. He stands taller and carrys a bit more bulk - around 106 kg. Apparently he's a real Ali Lauititi type player - keep an eye out for him.

Agreed, a four prop interchange would be handy since Lilyman, Luck and Mannering can all pull off the 80. That being said, it would be good to have some "flair" from Fai, so could be a game by game sorta thing. Even then I guess I'd have him replace Lilyman.

I go with Fai because I'd rather send him into the centres than Mannering who's more effective toiling in the back row or Lance who is a better spark player up the middle. Besides, with Price I feel he can go 60 minutes, 80 minutes if need be, Matulino is probably strong enough to spend 10 minutes in closer so you kind of cover your propping rotations well. It's odd for me going for Fai ahead of Packer because I'm a mad Packer fan.

Oz, Luck is a very solid player. Does all the 1%ers. But players like Taylor, O'Regan et al have his defensive ethic but also have the fundamentals of being very good attacking footballers also. Luck's attack is minimal. At the moment his experience allows him to get through games well, but he's not going to keep Taylor and O'Regan out forever. The club I'm sure is looking towards them as the future too.

Am the I only one who hasn't completely written off Lauaki as well? I mean, 2008 was a pathetic year, but he looked out of shape to me. A good off season and things might be alright - when he's mobile and agile as he was at the back of 2007 he combines that well with his physicality to offer some good offloads for McKinnon to get on the back of. He's got a lot of work to do, but I wouldn't abandon him just yet.
