Riise is a f**king spastic. He is a complete liability, as I predicted, and has no sense of tactical awareness whatsoever. He has extremely poor posititioning and can't even track his f**king marker. I reckon someone in a wheelchair would be able to get past him. He hasn't even made one good cross so far (I am not kidding).

His entire game at Liverpool was built off a few good left footed strikes at goal every year, and the rest was filled with assorted f**king rubbish. That may cut it in the EPL, but as a Serie A defender, no f**king way. He's hopelessly out of his depth.

Ronaldo had the best year but Messi is the best player in the world.

That doesn't make sense.

Messi might be the more talented player. It's close, so if that's your opinion then fair enough. But how can he be the better player if he has yet to have a season better than Ronaldo? He might have the potential to be better, but it's impossible to say he is better. In rugby league terms, it's like comparing Benji Marshall with Scotty Prince (there are probably better comparisons, they are just the two that sprung to mind). Marshall probably has more pure talent, but his injuries and inconsistency means Prince is the better player.

There are a few players competing for second. Messi, Torres (although he only scored something like 3 goals away from home last season), Ferdinand, Villa and a few others.

The names being mentioned here (bar Riise) are exceptional players and a joy to watch.

Incidentally, I was fortunate enough to see Messi play live in the Olympic final (with about 200 free seats to choose from too from the front row back).

Ronaldo lives up to his price tag and performs well.
