lol Noa, I have a supporter!

Dunno what it is about those Cronulla-ites, another Sharks fan Newman was trying to tell me that every NRL player was 2 inches overlisted and that Willie Mason was only 6'3", Fraser Anderson was barely 6 foot, etc

Anyway for mine Inglis is MAYBE 6'4" (maybe when he gets out of bed in the morning) and Folau is his listed 6'5" but certainly not 6'7" or anything crazy like that.

And ftr I've seen Hunt in person in street clothes and I believe he is his listed height of 186cm/a little over 6'1", but not 6'3" and certainly less than 100kg!:p

I think I had a bit of a point with that "dummy half running" thing....it's amazing how important that sort of stuff becomes in rep games. I think that's part of the reason why Iosia Soliola looks good in internationals- because he's physically strong and he gets over the advantage line.

lol what do you Cronulla fellas have against Willie?

Mason has always looked taller than Inglis imo. Did you meet Willie as well?

I wish I could remember when, but Parsons and Mason actually went on stage once at the Footy Show, side by side...I think it may have been to receive an award at the 2002 Footy Show Awards or something like that? The height difference between them was actually not that much at all.

Well then maybe Newman is right.....

Willie is a bit of a marker for the other players because he is usually the tallest in the Kangaroos, he was still taller than Folau last year although Folau has probably grown to be the same height or a fraction taller

Folau and Mason are 195cm.

sounds about right.... im 206cm so, probably

That'll make you a touch under 6"10 then, 6"9" 1/3. No wonder you tower over Inglis, Mason and Co.

And Manu, Issy has grown since the 195cm measurement, he is now just under 200cm.

Im gonna start carrying a tape-measure for next time I see GI around town.

Very premature.

He was made to look quiet due to a lack of ball. The Roo's rarely went down his flank and opted for Folau who had a very average night at centre proving he is nothing more than a winger.

Give Inglis a hint of room and you're asking for trouble.

Folau is more of a big, hard running, momentum person. Folau had a dig - defence contained him well. Yet Folau's very momentum can shake off good defence and create his own havock. Gasnier's footwork can also make it's own damage, as can the Matt Gidley flick, and the Stewat burst of speed.

As you and a few have said - give Inglis some space.... and that's the point. Inglis needs the space provided by excellent set up plays or poor defence. Hence my mention of Thurston in Origin 2, who drifted to the NSW right defence where Turner was horribly posted, stood up those inside Gasnier, and put Inglis through the gap. Same with Lockyer in the Tri Nationa a few years back, with a pearler of a pass that put Inglis on the outside of the defence.

Folau would go well with Penrith, as Civo did, even though Penrith haven't been flash at setting up their outside men. Inglis wouldn't.

And if Inglis could, pivot is the perfect position to do it, as you get the ball in the hands more, and get to take on the defence more.

All the players you speak of still need the space to make the most of their attacking prowess.

Pivot is the worst position for Inglis in the backline bar halfback obviously...he's a ball runner, not a ball player and he gets even less space to work with when he's in the centres.

If Inglis was at Penrith he'd be playing fullback and getting all the time and space in the world.

Inglis or Hodges

I thought Folau had the better season at centre.

The Storm made Inglis a victim of depth by placing him at five eigth ruling him out of taking out top honors while Hodges suffered an injury back in Round 7 that ruined his season.

Folau on the other hand was a major ingrediant in the Storms surge into becoming Minor Premiers and Queenslands success in the Origin series.

lol you already told me how Folau was supposedly 200cm. I don't believe it for a second. He doesn't look that tall at all next to his fellow players.

But yeah, cb4 you are over 6'9", which is probably why you have been getting everyone's heights wrong
