Kaka: Ronaldinho is causing problems

Milan are struggling to adapt to the tactical changes made necessary by Ronaldinho's arrival, according to Brazilian team-mate Kaka.

Ronaldinho moved to the seven-times European champions from Barcelona in the close season and has scored seven goals in Serie A.
However, Milan have not won in four games in all competitions and Kaka has been less impressive in attack than usual this season, in part because he is being asked to cover back more.
"Ronnie has settled in very well and he's giving us a big hand, but before we were used to playing with automatic moves consolidated over the years," Kaka was quoted as saying by Saturday's La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Me and Clarence [Seedorf] behind a forward, usually [Filippo] Inzaghi. With Ronaldinho the team has had to change set-up and we have to get used to having the same automatic moves with him.
"We play together in the national team, but it's not the same. It's a question of understanding, which is lacking a little."
The playmaker said at times he has to "sacrifice himself" for the side.
"I'm trying to adapt tactically because I often find myself playing closer to the midfielders," he explained.
"I'd like to play nearer the strikers, but I understand the needs of the team. The fact is that people expect something different from me, assists and goals, and if they don't arrive I get criticised."
Kaka is also looking forward to England midfielder David Beckham's arrival on loan from LA Galaxy later this month.
"He'll help us achieve our goals for the season," he said. "Then maybe he'll fall in love with Milan and stay for many years instead of two months."

no surprise he's cut ... milan see ronnie as the pin up boy instead of kaka ... kaka really hasn't had a good time since milan won the champions league, but the apostles will still tell you he is tearing sh*t up ...

milan fans also keep living in denial about kaka ... he will be in the EPL soon enough and ronaldinho will still be wearing the black and red

I think you'll find that Kaka will still be in red and black at the end of the season too.

dont go to england kaka.

I agree

he's sort of complaining that he has to do more defensive work and Dino wants to do the attacking, same as Kaka used to do, a bit hypocritical

they both play an attacking midfield in Milans Christmas tree formation, but we've got Gatusso to do alot of the DM role, along with Clarry Seedorf

Kaka's game has definitely slipped back a bit this season, I dont know whether he is looking for some one to blame or what, he's still only mid twenties and he's got alot of football left in him yet, he was alot better than this last year

another thing, I wonder if this will change now Pirlo is back, he's been out all season and he's was by far Milans best central midfielder last year

Kaka's game has definitely slipped back a bit this season

his game is in an 18 month form slump actually ...

ronnie is showing milan how it's done and kaka is cut that he isn't the poster boy

kaka will go to england and make easy money with chel$ki and ronaldinho will erase any memory of kaka in milan

Kaka does it again for Milan this morning, 1-0 over Catania with about 7 or 8 regulars missing from the team due to injury and/or illness

does it again? he does it for the first time in yonks you mean ... about time kaka shelved the work load for ronnie

yeh, done it again

from memory that would be about his 7th goal this season, not bad for a mid fielder

dino broke a nail and didn't play

maybe he gave some of his to Ronnie to make him look good

a couple of games back the commentators said he was already on 5 or 6 goals when he converted a penalty

not according to the article, then again it could be a beat up

alot of the Red and Black forums members are saying this is just a media beat up and those in the know seem to think Kaka is not leaving Sans Siro

I guess we'll just have to wait and see

either way I'm happy to have them both play for Milan, not the worse problem to have

those in the know don't post on interwebz forum giving away information about back room dealings

i'd be very surprised if kaka stayed out his contract at milan

Did Milan think about this before purchasing Ronnie?

no idea

Kaka has always been an attacking mid but so has Dino, so they play with 2 AMs and a lone striker, some times two

Boriello, Inzagi, Pato and Shevchenko is a slot of strikers to have in the squad and only play a single striker, so there is probably issues with how their best line up would work

dont know about the financial arrangements, but yeah, he's only for depth I'd say

he started yesterday, only the second time this year

8 f**king players injured, cant believe we're still winning

maybe Kaka is the reason, he and Gatusso carried the team yesterday

Milan should never have bought Ronaldinho, or Shevchenko. Or Beckham either.

They went for selling shirts rather than buying for the sake of improvement on the pitch. Reminds me of the circus that is Real Madrid.

Granted, Ronaldinho has been pretty good, but they didn't need him. They needed some good defenders.
