Poll results should be interesting.
I can see the Broncos crashing and burning on 8 straight years of poor performance.
i have to agree. sharks this year, souths next.I don't think we will have to wait for 10 years for it to happen. I expect some clubs to be broke and out of business within the next 12 months.
It might have been better to allow multiple selections for this poll. I suspect there will be more then one club to go broke. But given the choice of only selecting one team I chose the Sharks.
Where's the "None, this talk is mostly News Ltd deathriding" option?
You can't deny whats plainly obvious. Many clubs run into the red and are topped up by leagues clubs. So if leagues club revenue starts to fall what do you think is going to happen to clubs?
I think many administrators in the game (NRL administrators, football club CEO's, league clubs CEO's etc) have shown over the last 20 years that they aren't really forward thinking and are much more on the reactive than proactive side, so i wouldnt be surprised to see clubs go under.
1/ who's saying they wanted to sack Elliot? Even if they were why would they just throw $400k away? So they go broke?Panthers - poor management, can't even afford to sack their coach, are slashing their football budget by $500k+ in 2009 while other teams are expanding. Sold 50% of their Leagues Clubs to ING so they could attempt to re-finance their huge amount of debt.
