Having looked on Google last night, the replacement for Lockyer that season at SOO level was much discussed thru various articles. I only ever saw Flannerys name associated with the position. Hegartys name was never mentioned. Say if its is 'true" for a minute. Why werent the QLD selectors at this so-called meeting? And what would Lowe be involved in such a discussion for?

This was a non-QLD selectors meeting. We bought Graham Lowe in because we wanted to hear the opinion from an ex QLD coach.

So what power of selection would such a meeting have? And in all honesty it wouldve sounded better if you added Bennetts name in there. He wouldve definatley been in on such an imaginary secret meeting of great minds.

Well Michael Hagan was the coach at the time so we suggested to him that Hegs plays @ 6 and he agreed so he bought this up at the next selection meeting and the panel agreed with his thinking.

And then you woke up? Why would Dave and your good self care who QLD use at 5/8? Unless you are a Queenslander? I dont think Dave is from his posts. Or was it an evil plot to assist NSW? Also why would you care about Hegarty who at that stage played for The Roosters? Why would anyone consult with QLDs worst Origin coaches over such an important decision when Beetson and Bennett were available? This story reminds me of a lump of swiss cheese.

It was not a dream but at the time QLD weren't doing very well so we thought we'd offer a helping hand and Graham Lowe was a very good coach.
