Where does he rank in halfbacks in the NRL today? He displayed more talent than Fein and Orford put together.

What a special player.

It was great to see him back and he was fantastic, if he continues the form maybe NZ could convince him to play in the Anzac test

I agree with Steve Price winning the man of the match. Geez, he was great. But, if Stacey was not there, Warriors would have lost that game for sure.

my imagination, or does he seem to have more pace than he did in his last few years at the warriors?

and either those godawful away jerseys are very slimming, or did he look quite trim as well?

Yeah I'm so glad he's back in the NRL weaving his magic.
Dr Crane, I like Warriors' away jumper - It looks quite professional compared to some of the away ones..

Stacey Jones just may be the different between the Warriors being a top 8 side and a potential premiership winning side.

You just gotta love the little man. Arguably the best Kiwi's halfback ever.

Who else would there be to put up against him for best ever status??

I can't think of any great NZ halfbacks since maybe Gary Freeman in the 80's, but he was nowhere near the same calibre as Jones.

he's a freak! love him. his kick-chase and offload to set up the try was amazing. we had a living room argument about whether it was langer-esque or (union) campese-esque.

meanwhile I'm with you dr crane he does look svelte ... pricey does too. I think they've been working hard in the off-season.

Come to think of it, Freeman was probably the closest to Stacey in Kiwi halfback talent I've ever seen, and Stacey sh*ts all over Freeman. So Stacey would have to be the best ever in the Kiwis number 7. Disregard the "arguably" from my earlier post.

Its great to see Stacey back in the NRL, but I certainly didnt expect to turn it on like that. Brilliant try he set up for Tate and his kicking game was spot on.

If stays on the field for the rest of the year, the Warriors are gonna be hard to beat.

How the f**k do we rank a player after 1 game? It was a great ONE game but it was ONE game.
