funny how the low class can even be identified in their writing. No matter much how Avenger trys to talk up his status in society, the reality is, he is an epic failure.
Placing laughing Icons after every 2nd post etc. He probably has never had a friend close enough to tell him that "comedians don't laugh at their own jokes". He seems to me the sort of bloke who would give away the endings of movies, eat with his mouth open & talk with his mouth full. Perhaps, he really just is your typical Parra window washer?

fairs fair BBB, you just can't compare this situation to the Newtown ventures, Newtown are a foundation club who competed in the NSWRL for over 70 years off their own bat, South Sydney inherited them as a junior club, the sort of history and connection which Parra have shared with their juniors just isn't there.

I dare say that the situation wouldn't be the same had you tried to entice Mascot to a join venture?

Parramatta has invested a great deal of money, time and effort into all their juniors including Cabra despite the few here that will continue to carry gripes would tell you otherwise, Our junior rep sides are currently playing out of Cabra'a home ground which inturn helps them with canteen and leagues club revenue.

BBB, I know you're a smart bloke, you can't seriously tell me that we're in no danger of losing our juniors to your club if venture was to occour, surely you can't be that naive??...anyway, why wouldn't the sharks knock on the Enterence, Umina or Wyong's door for a venture?? you wouldn't be treading on the toes of an NRL club who carry an alliance with them and they've all got a solid leagues club backing behind them? just a thought.

Not 1 NRL team would combine with just the 1 team from the central coast like you have stated however they would combine with the whole Central Coast rugby league so they could take there picks of the juniors from those teams you have stated but it has allready been tried with the central coast rip ( they had no connections with any NRL club ) then we previously had the central coast storm which wasnt a success.

Which is the most cases with NRL teams they have an area of juniors not just 1 club from a local competition just as the North Sydney comp whiich has now combined with the manly comp included teams such as Asquith , Berowra etc etc which was affiliated with north sydney , im not sure what the rules are now relating to harold matts now but back in the day you had to play for the team in your area. Such as why liam foran , keiran foran , Mitch pearce all played for the bears and then moved on.

No matter what way you look at it rugby league is a bussiness these days and im sure if these parramatta fans who were trained by ST george bank for there current role got offered 20k more woouldnt leave?

Mate there's a few points here that I'll address:

First choice for us was Central Coast, but they were used to getting their "coupla mill" off the Storm and now somehow think they are worth more than what they deserve.

Cabra were/are all up for the plan, are they not happy with Parra?

Look I understand your frustrations, but the way of the world in Sydney, population-wise, is out west. Developing juniors and the NRL are two things that haven't combined for a very long time, you know this. Every club, in every state, is always on the look out for any good player no matter where they are from.
Melbourne have been taking juniors from everywhere since their inception, and guess what? they keep getting in GF's. If the NRL were to say, "ok every team can only have juniors" then yes at the moment we'd be a bit stuffed, and Melbourne would be gone, but we both know the NRL will never do that.
Mate, we're not the only ones raiding yours and Penrith's juniors, maybe we're just the most open with it.
It's up to you guys to identify your best talent earlier and make sure you keep them, because if you don't get them, someone else will.

I'm not exactly sure, according to some here there may well be some unrest, but then a I read with interest that there appears to be a cival war within the club itself, so who knows??

identifying and recruiting talent from other clubs is one thing and it's a big part of the game, but I didn't bring up the current Parramatta juniors that are at your club, for some reason reefy decided to use it in his argument, I don't have a problem with that and I've encouraged my own club to fight fire with fire, however to use a amalagamate with a junior club as a feeder club when Parramatta has invested it's money and time in is poor form imo.

Anyway reefy back on topic. I predict a recruit that you took from us, Albert Kelly will not be the success that many of you think he will be. I do not think that Ricky Stuart is the type of coach that can extract performance from naturally talented but high maintenance players like Kelly.

Another thing, one poster pointed out that Kingston played for Newtown. Didn't know that. He is a very good player. It was a shame to see him go. In hindsight was it a mistake for Ricky to let him go and sign an aging Corey Hughes ?

Correct me if I'm wrong however I think this argument has gone off topic with everyone arguing a hypothetical situation...?

I thought the deal was to split the costs just so that we could get a selection of our top 25 playing in the NSWcup and by doing so allowing a selection of Cabra's players to play there as well. That was it, there was no taking of juniors.

Arguing over the hypothetical that we will poison the Cabramatta players into all being Sharkies is a waste of time. If anything it's helping Parra juniors by allowing more of them to play at a level above what they currently are?

surely you can't be serious?

here's a question to you, why stop at Cabra? why not Mt Pritchard, st Mary's, wyong, West Wollongong or even Belrose? why has the first approach been made to Cabra?

maybe have a look at the amount of fg juniors that have come out of there in the past 3 years and the answer is there, it also pays when a member of your coaching staff (who's a good mate of mine I might add) that knows that too well.

Souths have norths as a feeder club and i believe that is now manly or tiger country. What about easts with New Town Jets that has to be souths teritory and the raiders play out of QLD cup surely that is Bronco teritory so whats the deal with cabra than.

I said it before the Junors can be signed by anyone with the right money.

You are right in what you say, in that it is a business now and its open slather in terms of signing juniors but I can understand Parra not wanting this. They have to protect their interests. If Cronulla-Caringbah were in the NSW Cup and Parra came over and made some joint venture with them we would all be blowing up.

I dont know why we dont just go with Southern District Rebels who played in the Bundy Cup last year.

Well be pissed off if parra did something with the black cats or with como but the diffrence is the size of the leagues club and the reveue they supply the team.

i haven't been to cabra Leagues but it looks big and can support a hi grade football team
no junior leagues club in the shire could support a NSW cup team
Cabra look as if they want their club to be in the best comp that they can and with the sharks supporting they they can move up a grade
The Rebles could never suport a NSW cup team and man they are a Rugby club which suggestes they not realy going to give there most to the team.

There are some women who deserve Reefy's "attention" though Staggs.

He has a closet full of C.O.A.T.s for such an occasion.
