Can't afford to but my season ticket atm plus was getting tired of sitting solo, took away slightly from the enjoyment, was my first year of going alone, wore thin by the end. Though i'll end up probably buying my ticket in january.

I recieved my season pass and membership package in the mail yesterday.
New season pass looks nicer than the past seasons one in my opinion.
The magnet with the season draw also confirms that the home game against the knights is again being taken to gosford.

Is the plastic holder for the season pass the same as last year?
Ours started falling apart halfway into 2009

we will have to wait for next year to get our packs, we renewed just in time to keep our reserved seats but missed out on the early packs.
Not that we ever sat in our seats (on halfway 22 rows back) we floated around GA with the boys from LU.

Didn't buy RTR tickets this time maybe if they release tickets in 2010 we may decide to come up for it, Do Manly have allocated RTR tickets?

The plastic holder looks the same, i never used it anyway, i just keep mine in my wallet, so i dont know if it will be more durable than last years.
There are still RTR tickets available on the hill i believe, im not sure if Manly had any allocated to them, the tigers did last year, so its possible.

11 Dec 2009

20097000TicketedMembersDetail-2302be07-7528-471a-af16-2549c31a0abd.jpg

The Rabbitohs' Membership numbers have passed 7,000 Ticketed Members today, with the Rabbitohs leading the race amongst NSW and ACT Clubs to 10,000 Ticketed Members.

The Rabbitohs are on track to hit to the 10,000 mark this year, but the Rabbitohs are intent on winning the race by being the first Sydney Club to top 10,000 Ticketed Members.

Now is the time to speak to family, friends, colleagues and clients who you know are Rabbitohs supporters and urge them to become Ticketed Members of the Rabbitohs.Remember, Ticketed Members also have the option of purchasing Return to Redfern game tickets. This Ticketed Member only event is selling out quickly so secure your tickets today!

Also don’t forget that the Official Rabbitohs Merchandise Store is open this Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 3pm so you have more time to do all of your Christmas shopping!

Finalised the renewal of my season ticket today (long overdue) for the 2010 season & i'm looking forward to the R2R game as well.
Looking at John Lang to take the team forward & a top 8 spot should be a guarantee with the line up we have.

As i said Dave it's long overdue.
I usually renew as soon as they ask for members to join up again.
Looking forward to the R2R game more than last year for some reason.

Rabbitohs Maintain Lead in Race to 10,000

18 Dec 2009

20105000MembersDetail-d6e30441-e5f2-474b-9343-75989fa56ec4.jpg
The South Sydney Rabbitohs have maintained their position as the number one Sydney Club in terms of Ticketed Membership this week, moving up to 7,340 Ticketed Members so far for the 2010 season.

The Rabbitohs have jumped the Cowboys who sit on 7,004, and sit in second position overall behind the Broncos on 9,726.

The Rabbitohs will have some stiff competition amongst the Sydney Clubs, with the Eels, Dragons and Bulldogs all experiencing big growth in Ticketed Membership numbers since the race to 10,000 began a couple of weeks ago.

Is it still day light saving? In which case it's equivalent to the normal 7.35?

Anyway, just got paid for my ticketed membership at last and damn it feels good!!

If you haven't done it yet, finish the year in style and get on board!

Membership Approaching 2009 Total

04 Jan 2010

2010Membership2000Detail-8fa76962-4b7c-4c23-9c67-4556bd290136.jpg

The South Sydney Rabbitohs’ Ticketed Membership total is just short of 8,000 today, as the players return to training for the new year.

The players took to the field at the Australian Technology Park Performance Centre at Redfern Oval at 7:30am today (Monday) in preparation for the 2010 pre-season matches which begin on Sunday 7 February when the Rabbitohs take on the Sea Eagles in Return to Redfern 2010, a match only available to Ticketed Members of the Club.

The Rabbitohs Ticketed Membership currently stands at 7,963, less than 700 Ticketed Members short of season 2009’s total and just over 2,000 Ticketed Memberships short of the 2010 target of 10,000 Ticketed Members.

The Rabbitohs total Membership currently sits at 13,133, less than 2,000 short of last year’s total and less than 4,400 short of the 2010 goal of 17,500 total Members.

The Club is tracking well to achieve its Membership goals for 2010, but the Rabbitohs have also set themselves a goal to be the first NSW Club to reach 10,000 Ticketed Members, as part of the NRL’s ‘Race to 10,000’. The first Club to reach 10,000 Ticketed Members receives a $50,000 advertising package.

The Rabbitohs need all of their Members and supporters to stand and be counted to help the Club reach its goals for 2010.

The Club is asking all Members to speak to their family, friends, work colleagues, or anyone they know that is a Rabbitohs supporter, and encourage them to become a Member for 2010.

All Rabbitohs supporters should check out the Membership packages for 2010, and see just what great value they are and how you can support your team in the best way possible.

The Rabbitohs also encourage all 2009 Members who are yet to commit as a Member for 2010 to do so sooner rather than later so you can secure the best seats for the 2010 season.

The best value Membership is for the kids! For just $50 you get a Rabbitohs team bag, football, cap, entry to all home games at ANZ Stadium and Bluetongue Stadium, as well as the Charity Shield, plus all of the other benefits of being a Member.

If you live in Western Australia the Rabbitohs also have a special Membership package for you designed for the Rabbitohs vs Storm game at Members Equity Stadium in June. Also, if you’re a supporter that lives overseas, you can become an International Member of the Rabbitohs.

You can check out all of the 2010 Membership packages, as well as purchase Return to Redfern 2010 tickets if you are a Ticketed Member, by clicking here.

Will you stand and be counted for 2010?

First off this isn't my idea but a mate of mine has come up with this idea and I'm just spreading the word.
Full credit goes to Bunnyman07. It's a great idea and I'm behind it.

In our quest to be the first club to reach 10,000 ticketed members, I am calling on the generosity of all Souths fans who have the ability and the resources to help those Souths Fans that are less fortunate.

There are plenty of disadvantaged kids out there who absolutely worship Souths and would love to get to the games, but through tough life circumstances, genuinely cannot afford it.

I would like to call on all Souths fans who have been financially blessed in this life to buy some of these kids a Reggies Pack Junior Ticketed Membership. I know we don't know who they are, but there will be plenty of people on this forum who know of children whose parents simply cannot afford the $50 for the season pass. Souths Cares have also identified a lot of disadvantaged children, and I am looking to work with the membership department and Souths Cares to get this programme up and running on a permanent basis.

I am personally going to put my money where my mouth is and I urge you all to join me and do the same to sponsor a child (or numerous children)with a Reggies Pack Junior Ticketed Membership for Season 2010. Hopefully it is the start of something big.

I am calling on all members of this forum who have the ability and desire to help the club and to help less fortunate children to bring a smile to their faces.

Join me in helping to achieve two great causes: The cause of the Mighty Rabbitohs in reaching 10,000 ticketed members, and the cause of bringing joy to children who have few occasions to be joyful.

I thank you in advance for your generous support. I promise that participating in this initiative will bring joy to the hearts and lives of many children disadvantaged through life circumstances. You will also feel great too, knowing that you have helped Souths and some kids as well.

A follow up post from Bunnyman07

Overwhelming Support for Sponsor a Child Initative

Fellow Rabbitohs Members,

I am tremendously humbled and deeply grateful for the groundswell of support for my "Sponsor a Child" Initiative for Junior Ticketed Memberships.

The response has been truly overwhelming from you all and I now have committments for around 100 fully funded Junior Memberships from generous supporters and corporate sponsors. All this in just the last 24 hours!!!

I have discussed the initiative with the club and they are as excited and as passionate about the programme and its potential as I am. I am meeting with them tomorrow to discuss the logistics in detail, but suffice to say, I have significant buy in from the club.

I have been able to secure the backing of prominent sponsors and fans who will be championing the intiative with the members of the Souths Football Club Board and Souths Cares.

This is truly going to take off in a big way and I can't wait to witness the beginning of the long overdue Rabbitohs Revolution. Together, we can make a huge difference to the disadvantaged kids in our local area of Redfern. This initiative will help them develop a greater love for the Rabbitohs and from this programme, other initiatives have sprouted as well with regards to getting these kids into Junior Footy.

I know we can't do everything, but we must do something!!

The depth of gratitude that I have towards you all cannot be explained in words. You are all true supporters of our great club, and I have been deeply humbled by the generosity of you, the Red and Green Faithful.

I would like to get your input on the naming of the initiative. I have some ideas as follows, but I would love your input:

"Raising the Next Rabbitohs Superstars"
"Sponsor a Junior Bunny"
"Souths Cares Junior Member Sponsor"

These are just some ideas, but none of them really smack me in the face. I would love to get the input of the members of the Pride.

Great days are ahead for our beloved club, the club that I love with all my heart...

SOUTH SYDNEY!!!!!!

Thank you once again, and I will keep you all posted on the progress.

Bunnyman07 is a Souths fan and doesn't work for the club.
He's also a corporate sponsor of the Rabbitohs.
With fellow fans coming up with these ideas makes you feel good to be a Rabbitohs supporter.

Souths leading membership race
By Josh Massoud

Membership drive...South Sydney's Chris Sandow. Picture: Gregg Porteous Source: The Daily Telegraph

IT'S little wonder South Sydney lead the NRL's $60,000 race to become the first club to sign up 10,000 members.

While rivals have enlisted their players to cold-call fans, the Rabbitohs went a step further this year and had Chris Sandow, Jamie Simpson and Beau Champion hand-deliver membership packages.

Souths have broken the 8000 barrier but St George Illawarra are staging a late rally. The Dragons stacked on almost 6000 members after packages were released before Christmas. The Bulldogs and Parramatta are in third and fourth spots in the membership stakes

I am very impressed by the fact that SSFC have taken this idea on board.

Bunnyman07 has a great idea here.

Other SS fans have approached management with ideas and these have been dismissed. Perhaps it is all in the timing. SS had to climb into a position where we could actually become more proactive.

Another suggestion that SS fans went to management with in late 2009 was the idea of loyalty rewards scheme for 5, 10 ,15 ,20 + years membership. This is also being taken on board.

After 35 years of not being listened to it seems that the management and the SS fans maybe able to work together.

The result 40K plus memberships and average crowds in the future.
