never liked him as a person and some of the things he has done on the field have been far from admirable, well just plain out foul but is still one of the best centres in the world and will be a huge loss. Had a laugh at the broncos fans on here who stated they got folau to slide into his spot as opposed to having both on the field but from a qld point of a view we do have that conveniant option and have the likes of tate and tonga to fill the wing spot if folau is moved in (pending on being healthy and in form). Shame he misses out on the all stars game though, anyone know who is set to replace him?

LOL, which idiot blues player wasnt even looking when a bomb got put up in a f**king SoO match?? thats one of the dumbest things ive ever read (until i read the rest of your post, that is)

I'm pretty sure he would have been looking at the ball in the air. Thats what you do when a f**king bomb gets put up, you catch it!

You can say all you like about hodges to defend him, but the truth is he is the biggest dog in the NRL. Coward.

No because Hodges was a wimp who only became animated behind the safety of the referee.

Moi Moi and Hindmarsh. Hodges would be safer in the stands. At least he can mouth off in complete safety up there.

Hodges is a big sheila. Folau does his talking with his actions - and his contract is bigger than Hodges anyway.

So tell me how a Kiwi/Tongan and a retired represenative player are going to help combat Hodges in the origin arena? At least Hodges didn't flee with his tail between his legs like your lot did.

Also I'd love to see how Hodges didn't go toe to toe with Grothe Jr.?

Who said anything about Origin?

Hodges only became involved after two referees blew time off and settled the situation down. If that's not 'tail between the legs' stuff I dunno what is.

Obviously in order to get revenge it has to happen in the same arena it occured in - Origin, that's where the boys left it and that's where they said it would resume.

When else could he get involved? He was on the other side of the field watching Hayne beat Boyd to claim a try. Then again, maybe he should've taken Waterhouses' example and taken an opposition player from behind.

That's neither here nor there and should be reserved for Origin threads - what a series it'll be.

Listen I can understand the animosity but not the hypocrisy. Had this happened to anyone of your players you'd be on here defending them just like Grimes did for Hodges given the utter classless comments coming out.

Lol at the irony in this thread. I'd love to see where I've had a whinge too. I merely pointed out the classless comments made by some, obviously enjoying someone else's misfortune. Its funny though, most of the actual whining in here is coming from those falling over themselves to call him a low dog etc. Ironically mostly from those taking pleasure in seeing him injured.

Some sad tards clearly couldn't handle my observation and got upset. Irony is a funny thing.

Pte,

The grothe fight started with 2 QLD'ers tangling with grothe. Hodges started throwing them while grothe was being held. NSW player grabbed the other QLD player and grothe and Hodges then went at it.

To be fair Pete, and if we want things in perspective (your words taking revenge for price not beng able to fight) & knocked out cold, if someone coming in to attempt to stop a fight by holding a players arms is taking him from behind, then you do need some serious help.

If this is in context, exactly how you meant it, then take your meds, and quickly.

If we look at the two circumstances in that game, a player attempting to hold a player from behind, and then putting up a bomb and trying to take a group cheap shot. I know which one is the cowards act, and I am sure you do as well.

You might need to watch it again. Hodges and Grothe squared off, Grothe threw first and then they went at it. No one else involved.

Thurston kicking Williams' head.

No one's defending MG breaking Brohman's jaw all those years ago.

I don't recall laughing at Hodges' current misfortune either, although sadly some have.

Punching a player from his own state. And it was not a punch, it was a tackle with a clenched fist. A punch does not involve initial contact with the forearm.

Some people around here would be shocked how often the forearm "accidently" comes in contact with the opposition players neck/head when being tackled, and its no accident.

I stand corrected. If only Webb could "tackle with a clenched fist" as well as Barrett. Granted Webb is limited by the fact that he has to actually face his opponent.

Poor Hodges. Not able to be the big tough man defending the Queensland "brotherhood" this year. At least he can watch on the telly and say whatever he likes to the NSW players on screen, knowing they can't hear him and therefore won't come after him to show him up for the lightweight chickens**t he is.

Correction, Thurston sticking his leg out to dislodge the ball. Why would he intentionally cause harm to his best player

That was Les Boyd, Geyer took out Hauff in Game 2 of 1991.

 Johnsy. First and for most I'd hate for you to be a sideline referee because your eye sight is attrocious.

Origin 1 06 - Grothe holds Hodges down, Hodges lashes out, they both grab each other by the scruff of the jersey, Grothe throws the first punch.

On the other, Waterhouse comes charging in from the otherside of the field while every other player has let it go and grabs Price from behind. Dead set, every other player was fine to let it go except for him.
