NSW Origin side 2010

Cooper is not a problem and never has been. One of NSW's problems (of many) is that they cannot stop the QLD backline. Cooper did a great job in Origin...hardly missed a tackle. When QLD couldn't get past him they went and picked apart others...they to the air and exposed his winger...if they weren't doing that they were going down the other side.

NSW picked attacking centres last year...how many tries did they score and how many did they stop?

Hayne's positioning and defence will be exploited. Hayne plays as a 5/8th in attack merely cause Mortimer and Robson are awful. Dugan is a much better traditional fullback. His returns, defence, support and so on are all better.

Your opinion and even if true, its all irrelivant, he's not ready. He's 19 and mentally is not up to Origin yet. He doesnt even know what its like to be in a high level squad yet. He can not handle the Origin arena yet. Maybe on the wing, but not at fullback. Not yet.

Putting him there now would be the same mistake as when we put Pearce and Mullen in to early, they couldnt handle it.

Give him time, we can still win without him.

Farah is streets ahead of Ennis.

I can't believe people try to argue otherwise.

Me too - people realise Ennis is a class above as seen by their origin performances last year.

Idiot.

You realise Farah had to play with Peter Wallace at 1/2 who is nothing more than an average first grader if that, and Campese who happened to have a poor game. Not to mention playing in a pack which was thoroughly dominated and the whole team was simply awful. Farah still managed to get through a mountain of work and set up a try or 2 in his performances.

Ennis did absolutely sweet f**k all in his match, but gets the credit for the rest of the team's performance. The same team which had something like 9 new faces, and he shared the same halfback as he does in the club level.

All the cards were played in Ennis favour, yet Farah didn't play much worse, if at all.

Oh yeah, and before someone brings up Farah in game 2. Let me say that the poor pass should've been dived on, yes it was bad but the rest of the team who simply watched it roll into Lockyer's arms deserve the blame just as much if not more.

Settle down big fella. No need to start calling people idiots. I can see you love Robbie and justifiably so. He is a great player. They are both standout hookers but I'd prefer Ennis at Origin level at the moment. As I said before, I believe Farah has a couple of little mistakes in his game that creep in when under pressure. If Ennis was unavailable for origin I happily take Farah. What about you? If Farah was out injured who would you want?

Sorry for being a bit brash, but you simply can't compare their origin performances when they've played 1 & 2 games respectively with completely different teams under different circumstances.

Anyway, I'd take Ennis after Farah. Doesn't everyone have mistakes when under pressure, in fact, Ennis of all hookers last year made the most errors and had the most penalties against him as well as the most missed tackles of all hookers.

Farah last season and part of this year:
most tries
most try assists
most linebreaks
most linebreak assists
most meters per game
most offloads
most tackle breaks and busts
4th most average tackles
most 40/20 kicks

Farah is a better player. Would not argue.

Farah however requires the team to revolve around him. For the tigers who have no halfback and a 5/8 who can deal with this it works.

For NSW this does not.

Deny the logic, I rate Farah, but NSW cannot afford to revolve around, see game 1 & 2 of last season.

While what you say is possibly true, I don't think there is a standout half or five-eighth for NSW to revolve around, so perhaps Farah could be that player. You could put (say) Bird and Kimmorely in the halves, both of which are solid players who can do a lot of the organisational work, and then leave the creativity to someone like Farah.

I think a lot depends on who NSW play in the halves as to which hooker they will go with. Although, there is no doubt in my mind Farah si the better player by a country mile.

He had no halfback and a 5/8 who played less than Marshall did in game 1 & 2.

Moltzen is nearly as good as Wallace (different players I guess, but Moltzen is more a creative ball player/runner, Wallace more organisational) and Marshall is definitely a better player than Campese.

If the brain dead selectors pick Bird at five-eighth (which the idiots probably will) then Farah must be at hooker.

Ennis is a poor defender. I'm very surprised how this is not mentioned when it comes to Origin, yet his apparent "toughness" or "niggle" is.

I suppose people look at their performances at origin level and see Ennis performed much better.

Fair enough, I guess others look at the last 3 or so years and can see that Ennis isn't in the same league.

Well unfortunately for Robbie the NSW selectors didn't take that into consideration after game 2 last year. It will be interesting to watch what happens this year. Good luck to both of them.

Farah with a MOM performance and Ennis with his usual 4 penalties, drop balls and whinging.

What has Ennis ever done to get all the credit he gets anyway?

I've never really even seen him pull of a decent play. Solid at best.
