Point stands though our middle order was MUCH worse than Paine, hell Watson was shocking. I forgot about Clarke's 80 odd, my mistake, we got flogged in that match though due to Clarke's inability to lift the rate. Ponting was terrible, Hussey was average at best, White was okay but inconsistent, and the less said about the rest and Watson the better. We had more issues than Tim Paine.

Paine was our worst batsman, used up to many balls getting starts and then throwing them away. At least Watson got us off to flyers.

Wastson was dreadful in 3 out of 5 matches, at least Paine got runs!

Yeah he was slowish (that is the way he bats), but he got runs and 2 50's in 3 matches is not a poor return, hell Ponting only made 1 decent score, ditto Clarke, ditto White. Hell Sunshine was crap this series. There were worse players than Tim Paine with the bat!

Clarke scored 220 runs in 4 games, averaging 110 and striking at 83. Tim Paine averaged under 30 at a s/r of about 65. You are the pillock who wanted Paine in the side ahead of S Marsh because Marsh scored too slowly. Yet Paine being slow as a fart, consistently getting us off to average starts, is being one of the best of our series.

Marsh was injured, coming back from a major hamstring tear! Watson would have averaged less than Paine. As I said you want to blame Paine fine, but be reasonable and blame the others as well..Hussey was ordinary, so was Ponting, so was White. But no lets blame Paine despite him being fairly consistent. Was he the best batsman, no. But was he the worst, hell no.

Not long till Painey's test debut. My baby is almost there!

The thing is Locky if you're going to drop any batsmen out of that lineup it would have to be Paine, but since Haddin is injured I guess you guys have to preserve with him.

Ponting was average but at least he didn't soak up a sh*tload of balls get a start and then get out. Which is what Paine did.

Ponting averaged less. In other words he had a WORSE series. That is all I have been saying. It is fine to bag Paine, so long as you equally bag Ponting and Hussey who were just as bad.

Paine looked better whilst at the crease.

That is a fine criticism..although Sean Marsh was just as bad when opening. What I won't cop is Paine copping it and the others being immune from criticism.
