One dimensional from the Dragons.
Boring boring boring.
When the linchpin of your attack is Darius Boyd what do you expect? Soward predictably was missing for 70 mins.

Good win Brisbane. Race for the Minor premiership is still on

i will be surprised if roosters can put on more then 2 trys on the dragons

and be surprised if the roosters can keep the dragons under 24

:)

Gaba I think you need to reverse where the team names are there mate.
On that form today saints will be lucky to get a try against the worst defensive outfit in the 8.
Also on that form today it makes Saints the worst offensive outfit in the 8.

The past three weeks the chooks have averaged 30 points per game, which includes the broncos at suncorp and the eels at parramatta.

So even if they let in 24 points.. they can still outscore the Dragons.

Regardless, Dragons are due for a win, Roosters are due for a loss. I assume this is the way it'll go. But gee, if the Dragons lose next week - I can't wait to see the rubbish you serve up in defense of your team.

Actually dude going on what happened last year after their two losses they are due for a colossal arse kicking to make it 3 in a row.
Currently there is no team better prepared to serve this up than the Roosters, I hope I am wrong but f**k me running it is looking more and more likely.

I wont be serving up anything in their defense, I'll be eagerly awaiting the "oust doust" and "f**k bennett off" signs to make an appearance.

While I'm cursing the fact that we didn't get to face the same Broncos team as the Roosters, credit it where it is due. The Broncos deserved that win. They weren't great, but they didn't need to be, as we were woeful. Our lack of second phase play is our key problem - we don't run opposition defences around enough, which leaves them nice and fresh to pick off our too-structured attack when we get the chance in the opposition 20.

Soward must get a bit of credit, as we was the only Dragon who tried anything prior to Folau's second try (though it would have been nice if he'd tried it in the first half). He needs to start doing that for 80 minutes instead of just the last 20.

Once again our defence stood up, but until we can pair it with some decent attack, we won't be going too far in the finals.

form this year is patchy due to the lack of majority of teams defences , the remaining 14 teams are all in the high 300's and in the 400's

the roosters like the eels attack looked good against teams who dont put in defence

When teams defend those teams struggle

like the eels did against the roosters

if the broncos defended last week like they did against the dragons , roosters would have lost.

the thing what the dragons have to do is cut out these soft trys which has creep in.

They need to go back like the beginning of the year , the other team attacks isnt what winning the games , its dragons soft trys which they let in , like today

I thought Soward tried hard today, he wasn't backed up by most of his team mates, some real dumb football out there. In the last 10 mins, Soward was looking to offload to a team mate on the fly but no one was forth coming so he just went to ground, the look on his face (I couldn't see who the closest dragon was) after he played the ball was that of a lad who was ready to explode at his team but held it in. There seem to be a real lack of cohesion between the forwards, a few were getting in the way of each other or over running the dummy half. It's a shame to see the Dragons going down this path, they have been very clinical all year but seem to be faltering yet again at the business end of the season. Gasnier looks very much out of place, might have been better to bring him back even slower than what they did (maybe through a feeder team for a month or 2) because he looks like is out of rhythm with the game and out of position a lot of the time.

The Dragons were just ordinary in every sense. Their defense wasn't that great. I thought the Broncos were ordinary and didn't throw much at them. Just kicked for Folau.

Soward was awful. His kicking game was way off. He woke up late in the game but 10 minutes doesn't make up for 70 garbage minutes.

The forwards never got a roll on and the offloads didn't start until too late. Costigan was dreadful in the last ten minutes at dummy half. Some of his passes had me clutching at my sides laughing.

The pressure is getting to the team and they're playing so safe and conservative it's ridiculous.

Soward woke up well before the last 10 minutes, it was the rest of the team that didn't wake up until after Folau scored.

Gasnier was playing like it was still 2006, needs to hit the weight room and gain the power and speed he once terrorised teams with.

I'm still not writing off the Dragons, as much as i'd like to think. Bennett will probably fire your lot up and step up against us, it's only a matter of when because surely the Dragons can see it is deja-vu all over again, Bennett is too smart to let it happen..

No, you just need to sort yourselves out in attack and score some points. Get a clue! By your logic it is that holding teams to minimal points gets you wins, when really it's half the equation.

Well stick a fork in us, we have lost it again. We dont deserve a second chance in the semis, mentally weak and out of ideas. Big wrap to Costigan, thought he was the only one who showed some heart out there today and his dummy half service was 10x better than Priddis. Gonna miss him.

We need Fien back asap

I think Saints have made a big mistake letting him and Jeremy Smith and who ever else is going to have to go to fit Gaznier under the salary cap. I dont think Gaznier is worth it.

Anyway good win to the Broncos, it is going to build our confidence coming into big end of the season. Keep it going boys.

Half our fans think the same way. I'm not one of them, as I think he'll come good. And I'm absolutely certain he would have come good if we'd let him go to another team.
