Hindmarsh kept in the dark over sacking

People say the coach got us to a GF with NFI how, yet finishing effectively 13th with the same halves and arguably a better team. Whoever was responsible for 2009 its also fair to say was responsible for 2010.
if i could be bothered i'd dig up a bunch of posts I made BACK THEN where I had concerns that Ando was saying he didn't know why things got better .... i'm not some massive ando fan defending him - I think its a combination of players out of their depth and a coach not coming up with good plans

Also, there is a lot of protocol in all of this. Best to wait for the right time to pick your fights. No point getting caught up in a storm going nowhere. I guess there will be more to come, lets wait and see as this year closes in on its end.;-)

What are you on about Arthur?

If Kearney can teach a couple of our forwards to run decoys and we can put a backline play on instead of playing hot potato each week, then he's won me over.

Players are paid to play football.
End of story.
Hindmarsh is a legend of our club and will forever be one of my Eels all time favourite players.
He should also have NO say in who should be his coach.

Becoming a bit of a joke isn't it. Why can we not have a media ban imposed to stop this sh*t.

tbh i don't know if all this talk about lack of structure is entirely right - and I don't know if its all the coaches fault .... i think we do have some structure, its just not executed very well at all (infact terribly - and there isn't much variation)

we actually try and run backline movements when we get near the line ... we just do it f**king terribly and the opposition know exactly what it going to happen .... there is generally a decoy runner with hayne running around from behind him - but the runner pretty much never looks like getting the ball and the pass goes so deep to the wrap around player that the defense not only doesn't guess, the get teh chance to get up in our faces

the few times we've scored a good backline try this year there's been more players in motion and they actually look like getting the ball ..... we can do it - I genuinely believe we don't have a skillful enough half to execute it as it pans out - its all too premeditated (tbh kinda like too much structure) - the half never looks like he might go himself, the decoy never looks like getting the ball, there's little likelyhood of a runner back at a different angle - just one movement to try and get an overlap which hardly works ....... then a complete inability to get a repeat set when it doesn't come off

I didn't want to say it at the time but the way we were geared to percentage football this season and the lack of variation in attack is a coaches fault.

It seemed we panicked alot when the defense got in our face. I agree the intention of a backline play is there but when the D rushed up we lost the plot. But yes, a good half would eliminate alot of those problems.

tbh it's kind of relieving to hear from someone like Hindy, rather than Mortimer who was Mr Media in 2010, and of course BooHoo whenever he wants to have a whinge.

But yes, the club should seriously look into a media ban, for both players and board members!

Let's hold the panic fellas.

Someone made a lighthearted suggestion about a media ban ... Then we have two hysterical posts from either end of the spectrum about what the board is or isn't doing..

It's getting a bit loopy.

The board would be digging their graves if anything were to happen to Hindmarsh. Hindy has people power and he in alot of ways is more powerful then the boards. Think Gladiator "make the people love you"

Watch this space Bigfella.

I know for a fact that the 'face-less' men behind the board have got issues with what was said last night on the footy show and want discipline.

I'm sure the board will see the big picture but if they dont....

Hindmarsh was on there for about 5 minutes and basically repeated what he said in the article. That he wanted Ando around for the remainder of his contract but what's done is done and he has to move on.

Can you imagine how much you blokes would be complaining if a media ban was in place?

Are you seriously suggesting that you have actual first hand knowledge that, between 10pm last night and the time of your post today, that members of the board have discussed taking disciplinary action against Hindmarsh and/or imposing a media ban?

Because frankly that seems exceptionally unlikely unless you are a board member or one of their staff.

If so, why don't you expand on your knowledge?
