tough luck.

sh*tty end to a great year.

virtually mirrored our '96 efforts.

to this day i'm still uber-proud of '96. i assume you guys will hold the same pride for many seasons to come.

congrats on the way you guys have handled defeat. defeat is a better measure of a man than victory.

we should all know!

cheers guys.

Melon: what can I say except, you only get back what you give. All those posts calling us chokers and now, that's you. And Brian Smith.

It is appreciated that you guys can be humble in victory and to you Dragons fans that had to live through many heart breaks in the 1990's and even before then you deserve to have the chance to celebrate a win, congratulations on 2010 and 2009 aswell.

Especially gregstar, very funny guy who can throw the bait out around when we play each other but always classy win or lose.

See you guys next year.

Great to see some really gracious winners, and once again congratulations on your premiership. Your team has certainly been dominant over the last two years.

I think the Roosters will win the premiership sometime in the next 3 years, hopefully 2011:D

our time is rapidly approaching! the personell nearly all in place, the team that they now are can improve more yet, self belief, confidence and teamwork make a team great, not the number of superstars in the line up! next season we have a great aggro back up hooker, speed on our left wing, only thing missing is a mini replacement, i still think dugan will come to the east?

Thanks Greg and the other Saints lads. As you can probably see , i dont come here much but i recognise a genuine bloke when i see one, and thats you Greggles. But you make me laugh too ya bugger :) I know you know that yep I'm still feeling sh*t about the loss almost 2 weeks after the match. But thats life as a Roosters fan.

p.s. how ya been Rexxy ?... sh*t i havent seen you for ages. Say congrats to Ben aka Southernsaint too for us will you.

I was also wondering if anyone had seen my old sparring partner back in the day ... anyone remember StGilla Man ? aka St Dill, St Jill or just plain Jill lol please dont tell me he's Gaba these days :D Taxidriver and St Jill were almost in love with Rooster bashing back then. Good times tho ... we were the premiers back then. You guys will thrive on the hate that is bound to follow you next year. Enjoy it Saints fans because there aint no better feeling.

I still see the occasional post from StGilla in the Saints forums OVP. Not as much as he used to.

In the spirit of the thread, well done to the Roosters on a stellar season. It was great catching up with a couple of Easts forummers and friends in Sydney. Good luck in 2011.

Cheers Willow. I must venture into the Saints forum to catch up with the old buggers who used to post in the early days of this forum. I'm surprised the Easts-Saints rivalry isnt as big as other rivalries, but who knows in time it may surpass them all. Anzac Day and this years GF will go a long way to achieve that imo. The Saints clashes are my personal favourites of the year because i have an enormous family who seems to be split up into mainly Saints, Souths and Easts fans. The Saints side is definitely the largest though so I've always loved to beat you guys (which isnt often *sigh*) I'm glad you did it for Harry too ... he'd be smiling big time upstairs atm :)

The rivalry died when the roosters stopped being competitive opposition. :) Cant wait for anzac day! Its like xmas every year. You know youre going to get a present...its just a matter of how big a present!

and the beauty of it all...it was the roosters who gifted us soward :)
