You raise an interesting point SGL as upon closer inspection of the photos of the jumper, "Eclectic" was the sponsor on the back of the jumper and that was one of my close mates company and he sponsored in 2000 when we were back in Premier League.

Hiya peeps,
I'm only new to this forum and was hoping someone could steer me in the right direction? I'm trying to track down an original Bluebags and 1981 Jersey in good to excellent condition. Am happy to pay good money depending on the condition. Any help would be apreciated. Cheers everyone.

e-bay is the best place to get old stuff. Most of my collection has come from there. I see that it is 30th ann. next year.

Ah....no sorry, not at this time. Although i have told my son that when I'm about to cark it- NOT under any circumstances to throw anything out. I reckon so much stuff has just ended in rubbish bins over the years. He is rubbing his hands together with glee waiting for me to die. i have to check my dinner before I eat it.!!

It's amazing how we hold onto memories & cherish all the stuff now that we discarded as kids.
I keep searching for old Souths & Newtown memorabilia but i still haven't found what i'm really after & they are those little bobbleheads that featured all the clubs jerseys of the day that used to sit on the back dashboards of all the family sedans.
If i can get one each of Souths & Newtown i'll be happy.

Good luck. i am after a plastic medallion that used to be in Twisties packets in 1970. I bought hundreds of packets and never got a Souths one. Of course I threw all the other ones away! The best piece of memorabilia I have seen that i could not afford was a flyer about a game between Souths and Newtown from a game in 1910.

Mick Simmons in the city has brand new 1981 GF jerseys for about $159.00 from memory.

I remember seeing an original 81 or 82 Jets jersey on eBay about two years ago, number 17. It went for upwards of $300. Pretty cheap all things considered.

I have an original pre Jets Bluebags jersey.... ;-) along with 19 other Jets jerseys... Including the one mentioned above.

Beat me by a year, my earliest North Sydney District RLFC Annual Report is for season 1927!

I also have a lot of time for the NS Bears as well & i do have their book detailing the history of the club.
Although i haven't got much Norths related stuff i still look out for anything worthwhile collecting.
It's an absolute disgrace that both Newtown & Norths who are foundation clubs dont play in the NRL.
This will be a scar that will never heal as far as i'm concerned.
Go the Bluebags & the Bears.

I totally agree Boo Boo.......They were iconic foundation clubs. Sure, they had their financial woes, but which club hasn't. Still no reason to kick em out.
