Haha Sutton is twice the player Soward is. A big portion of our attacking success last year was due to Sutton and he'll be knocking on the door for origin this year.

Seriously. How many players did Bennet bring to Saints from Brisbane? One. Darbs. Did he poach him? No. Did the Broncos tell Boyd to look elsewhere because they had purchased Folau and had Hunt coming off contract? Yes.

It's well known the Nighty is a Bennett type player, but he wont' poach him if he departs Saints and Saints want to keep Nighty. it os not his style. Under Bennett, we have not only won trophies and become a more professional club, we have also managed to re-sign the vast core of our team until at least the end of 2012 & quite a few until 2013 at well under what they would command on the market now premiership winners, because Bennett said to them in 09 - stay for less to wiin comps with your mates. Always remember the scorn poured on our players abilities over the last two years when you see us maintain the vast core of the 2010 premiership winning unit and develop QUALITY youngsters over thsi period - as we ALWAYA do - when we remain a top 4 team over coming seasons and start yelling about the cap.

Success under Saint Wayne will insure we lose quality players over the next two seasons, but it won't be because he directly takes blokes with him. It will be because in the salary cap era, that is the measure of success & PREMIERSHIPS.

No. I'm very confident about this season. However the negotiations with Bennett (and in essence Boyd as well) are happening and will be happening before we find out if our drought ends this year.

And what's this BS about breaking up a winning team? Even if we win our coach is retiring. And almost every single GF winning team losing players.

So regardless of if we win or don't win, Bennett and Boyd would obviously be worth going after.
