Also Payten is off contract at the end of next year, and so is Tuqiri. Remember most contracts are probably backloaded, so you can work around timings with other money freeing up etc.

To be honest, I remember looking at sides like Brisbane a few years back saying how can they afford all these players. It feels good to say the same about us.

Where do you get your figures from? If John Sutton is really on $350K that is the funniest thing I've heard in a while.

All those numbers (except Taylors) are numbers I've seen in articles from time to time. But yes no doubt we're paying Sutton overs but we signed him on this contract a long time ago when we had to pay overs to sign/keep players.

Our spies out west spotted Duffie checking out Parramatta Stadium with Eels coach Stephen Kearney the weekend before the game.

Channel 9 has no credibility whatsoever, how many times did they report "Bennet is going here" or "Inglis is going here" and etcetera and turn out completely wrong?

Still, there's no question Blair will be a Tiger.

Most props can cart the ball up and rack up a decent tackle count. If that's all they can do they're mediocre at best. Gibbs does it well and doesn't mind giving away a stupid penalty or two in the process. He can't do what Galloway, Payten, Fifita and Blair can do.

Gibbs' has easily the best ruck and cover defense of the blokes you've mentioned. Also has better go forward then all bar Galloway.

It's so much whether he can be afforded but why $500k on a forward seems overs to me
