Dragons' halves pose no threat to us: Sandow

You don't see anything wrong with Souths player saying undoubtedly that his opposition winger won't score against him?

It's only wrong if he's made to look stupid on Monday. If Merritt backs it up and outplays him, he's backed up his tough talk with a tough performance and it's all good.

I wouldn't underestimate the importance of Soward's boot. That's worth fearing. Rucking out from your back corner over and over and over again is not a task most teams relish.

Meanwhile, I think the defensive issues at the Bunnies is the more pertinent issue than the lack of potency of the Dragons' halves.

I'm hopeful for Souths on Monday, but I'm not delusional.

think merritts comments a bit tongue in cheek. hopefully he doesn't score this week.

as for sandow probably been our best over the last 2 weeks and isn't in the emerging QLD squad to make up the numbers.

Honestly if Souths had a better 6 and 7 they would really give the competition a shake. They have one of the best packs going around and some pretty decent backs. Sandow can do something freakish from time to time but he goes missing a lot.
.
Sutton should be a great player but seems to put the effort in 1 in every 5 games.

Im still amused by the fact that people, including souths supporters, continually bag our halves, yet we have scored more points than 14 other clubs. They must obviously be referiing to sandow and suttons defence as its the bunnies ordinary defence that is costing us games.

Agreed that defence is the main problem, but a smarter, more effective kicking game would be a massive help.

Meanwhile, being an Eels supporter has me on the verge of suicide. I can't even post in that forum without losing my mind. Hahaha.

The first thing we all need to realise is that journalists create stories out of simple statements. I'm sure Sandow wasn't as blunt as that as he must have known that it would become tomorrow's headline. I married into a Rabbitoh family and love the tradition of clubs such as Souths. As a kid, I went to the SCG expecting losses against your great teams. Let's hope for a good match on Monday night and respectful banter between our supporters, whatever the result.

Agreed, always has been so at the ground, at least as long as I have been around.

In terms of the banter on here, that is unlikely.

We need a media ban on all players at all times. The last thing we need to do is give ammo to Hornby, Soward and Morris. It's true that the dragons threat is out wide but geez, keep your mouth closed Sandow. Think about tackling Ben Creagh instead.

Sandow is still the same big headed clown I had the misfortune of seeing play in the South Burnett he's done bugger all in the game and thinks he can talk it up.

Here's a tip keep you stupid gob shut and just play then people might actually take you seriously.

coast dragons , you are the clown. go back and weep in the st merge ghetto , you troll. if you bothered to read the article , if you can read more than headlines , you would note that Sandow did not knock the halves , he merely praised the edge attack where Souths were attacked last time , this is where the threat is, you dope.

If Souths are aware that the St George attack is strong on the edge then they should be in a position to shut it down.
I cant see any point in identifying it otherwise.

Round 26 2010, Jubilee Oval...Sandow after kicking a goal in a humiliating loss to a severely depleted Saints team turns to the hill and makes a choking gesture to the hill. How'd that work out for you, Chris?

Hope you enjoy watching Ben Creagh run over you again...
