The NRL has just announced that they're the first Australian sporting comp to crack 300,000 fans on facebook.

What I find interesting is that there's a page called:

State of Origin Fights

with 352,126 fans and that's the most popular Australian sports page on Facebook

Well alot of these pages are run by the club themselves. The Eels one seems to have had little effort put into it though.

The Bulldogs one is smart - first thing you see is a recommend to friends link. That's how you spread the word.
