Will St Wayne let the boys play footy against the tigers in the 2nd half?
Or will we shut up shop, like we have been doin all year?

Do you mean those 9 out 10 wins we've had this year? Perhaps you want more and you want it now... or you're not actually who you claim to be.

Firstly, it is an exaggeration to say we've been shutting up shop in the second half 'all year'.

Secondly, in recent weeks the players rep scheduling has seen players digging deep.

IMO, they have paced themselves to perfection. Look at the scoreboard.

Suppose I will have to perform a few miracles and die for that matter to be called a saint.

Without a doubt we have a different game plan in the 2nd half.

You guys are too harsh. Saint Tone is right - in recent weeks some games have seen the boys clearly pull back and take it easy in the 2nd half. It's serves us very well, but i'm sure it depends on the game plan and the way it all unfolds. I daresay if we get to a 10-20 point lead by half time, we'll see the team defend tough and conserve energy in attack - just like they did against Parra and the Doggies.

Perhaps we have held back a little bit in the 2nd half, in previous games. However, I don't think this was really the case in the last few weeks. I think the boys have been a little tired from the heavy rep schedule and some of the piss poor NRL scheduling.

No need to make big statements in the second half of games if we already have a lead. Just cruise to the two points. Same happened again today and you know what, I loved it.

That 2nd half was rubbish. If we play like that against the Dragons they will put 30 on us!

i know im being harsh, but would love to see them step on the gas in the 2nd half and really put teams away, put on 40 pts, ad lib a little boys.

at the moment dragons only need 15 mins of ad lib point scoring and the game is over

Come on, Morris and Cooper were injured. Hornby was defending on the left wing, Prior seemed to be defending at centre. Add to that the fact that we had Young out and 7 players backing up from Origin. These were the main contributors to the 2nd half come back from the Tigers. The fact that we still won, and didn't really look like losing speaks volumes for the team.

Exactly, if that had been the dragons of a few years ago the tigers probably would have put 20 or 30 on us in the second half.

Well said, I think if anything the 2nd half proved just how good our mental toughness is.

Interesting statistic. Last year, and up until some time this year, we were winning the second half by light years and blitzing teams. This year, we've conceded 8 points in the first half for all our games.

To me, Wayne is simply honing the teams first and second halves. I imagine that when we get all players on deck, and we ramp up in rounds 23 onwards, he'll get them to pull together both halves and time our run so we play our perfect game in the Grand Final.

To me, I'm more excited to watch how Wayne is coaching out troops to greater things each week than I am with silly issues like cruising in second halves or boring play. We have one of the greatest coaches of all time leading us, and some of the most talented players running around, and together they are making some f**king amazing football.

Seriously, we're footballing porn right now and are spoilt to see what we get to see. Don't get drunk on it and start demanding perfection because, frankly, we don't want perfection now. We want perfection in the finals. Wayne and the troops know that and are building to it.

To those getting grumpy - stop being little shits and start enjoying what the mighty Saints are offering up as we will not see anything like this for another 20 years. Mark my words.
