I hate both the Broncos and the Storm with a passion, but anyone who can't see that it is the better game by a fair stretch has taken leave of their intelligence. I know the Eels/Dogs rivalry is big, but it's a squabble over 12th on the ladder (a position both teams richly deserve on form).

Agree 100%. Said it in the Mel-Bri game thread that I can't see how it's not the live game into both states. There'll probably be more biff in the Eels-Dogs game, but the Storm-Broncos game promises to be a beauty ...

I would rather watch the Broncos Vs. Storm game, because at least they will turn up and play; unlike my team. Nevertheless I will go to the Dogs Vs. Parra game, because even if we play crap something is bound to happen.

Hopefully it is an all in brawl, Ben Barba masterclass(again) or Jarryd hayne getting punched in the face(again:lol.

Does it really surprise anyone that Channel 9 can not be f**ked showing the game live in Melbourne - or even at a decent time?

Nine don't give two shits about Rugby League or it's promotion... It is winning ratings by just being shown live in NSW and QLD, so why would they do anything more for it. Until they lose the rights, and then will have to fight to get them back, they will continue to do this sort of crap.

Anyhow, I think the Storm said they only want away games live on Nine to help with crowds. Which at least gives Nine some excuses. Although I think it would be better overall for the game if it were shown live.

Not great.

The storm didn't do too much worse than that on a f*cking Sunday and that game wasn't against the broncos.

I think the storm could match (or beat) those ratings and best of all nine has already paid for the content so it won't cost them anything. That plus they will be building the audience for its most important program.

I don't like this position from the storm. In the short term yeah it might benefit crowds. In the long term though getting FTA coverage is crucial for building up the storms fan base.
