What a terrible performance, talk about a group of individuals, there was no chemistry or cohesion, our play consisted of passing it to Messi on the left or Di Maria on the right and hoping they could do something. It shouldn't surprise me anymore how pathetic our defenders are, it's an Argentine tradition, but seriously Burdisso and Milito were shocking.
Messi did all he could, set up one goal, was the sole attacking and creative thread in the side, but there's only so much one person can do when they have to receive the ball very wide or on the halfway line.
I've never rated Aguero or Di Maria and both showed why in this game, Di Maria either makes a selfish run or he plays backwards, no creative spark. Meanwhile Aguero is the kinda guy you don't want in your side when things get tough, deadset he disappears. Argentina badly need a creative central midfielder, until then they will continue to struggle.
Congrats to Uruguay, but seriously not being sour or anything but that was not a very good advertisement for football. Uruguay played very dirty and very defensive, just trying to score from free kicks (which Argentina continue to not be able to defend), meanwhile without Messi I think this Argentine side would struggle to break the top 20 worldwide at the moment.
Oh and Gago sucks so badly
