Care to argue andrew057 or are you just going to call me out for not wanting a workhorse on my bench?

Not particularly.

If you think Parker never EVER comes up with big plays with the Broncs need them, I really dont see any point arguing.

Aye, I had him down as my MotM.

Just a shame he couldn't retrieve the ball and stay in the field of play. Not neccesarily his fault but he could've prevented it.

Reminded me of the Round 9 game where he had to pick a ball up from his boots and spilt it, game over.

Then in Round 26 where he was just trying too hard and didn't have the skills to get us over the line.

He's a good player and I'm happy with the service he provides at club level but for mine Petero Civoniceiva is a legend of the game and is perfect for the interim. I expect Thaiday to play a bigger role in the future and he seems to have a real charisma about him.

Big plays in important moments.

I'd say his failures in those moments out-weigh his success'.

I don't see Thaiday as captain material tbh .........too emotional. Would end up being another crybaby Gallen if given a free rein to chat with the refs

I couldn't stand that

(I don't really think he's got the smarts for the job either.........)

I reckon go with Glenn. Similar situation with Warriors couple seasons back when Mannering was made captain over Luck who like Parker deputised when Steve Price on Origin duty or was injured. At first Mannering was a bit of a twinkie and was terrible with the media but I think he has really come on as a captain and a player. I think Glenn could head down the same track. Parker like Luck is too far in his career to captain and Thaiday is too much of the jokester and laid back.

I see your point Fourex but I see a lot of Gordie in Sammy T and I was a big fan of the Raging Bull.

I wouldn't mind Glenn either but I'm a little hesitant to have him above the more experienced players at this stage. One more impressive season should do the trick.

Corey Parker is captain of my fantasy team. So he should also be captain of the Broncos...

In all seriousness, there are big problems with Parker and Thaiday as captain. I can't see Parker inspiring those around him or encouraging the younger guys. He's too quiet.

Thaiday is too much of a hotheaded yobbo. He's a big dumb ape - very good at what he does, but not exactly captain material. Do you really want your captain running from the other side of the field to be third man in in every on-field brawl?

Petero next year, and Glenn after that. Glenn's a great young prospect, I really rate him as a player and as a future leader at your club.

Thaiday would make a great captain after Parker. I think if he wanted to get the 'crap' out of his game he could easily do it but having someone with his aggression leading from the front isn't a bad thing at all. You see when Thaiday gets involved the rest of the forward pack lifts.

Sorry but I don't see what the fuss is about Glenn having captain qualities at this stage anyway. I think Griffin made him captain because he is somewhat a favorite of his from the U20's days. He's a good player but not great and doesn't really stand out in terms of respect either.

what about Wallace? Seemed to lead the team around well when Locky was injured/repping.
