Everyone who's picking Jennings and Lawrence in the centres... which one plays out of position on the right and has to mark up on Inglis?

Lawrence maybe, but I can't see Jennings handling it.

If they're good enough for Origin at all, they're good enough to play on the opposite side of the field.

The confusion here is that you've used House to describe Chris Houston, a nickname that even Knights fans rarely use for him, when it has always been Trent Waterhouse's nickname.

Lol, we call him House so often I actually for a second thought his name was Chris House!!!

I really wouldn't be making too many changes. The Blues were onto something this year and came very close.

Basically something along the lines of...

1. Josh Dugan
2. Jarryd Hayne
3. Michael Jennings
4. Chris Lawrence
5. Akuila Uate
6. Jamie Soward
7. Mitchell Pearce
8. Kade Snowden
9. Robbie Farah
10. Paul Gallen
11. Beau Scott
12. Greg Bird
13. Luke Lewis

14. Kurt Gidley
15. Tom Learoyd Lahrs
16. Tim Mannah
17. Anthony Watmough

With Gordon, Mullen, Galloway and T. Sims coming into calculations.

I also think City/Country will be very important next season and will look forward to seeing the likes Stewart, Fensom, Houston, Grant and co. plead their case and work their into being looked at.

Should be another great series.

Agreed with a lot of what you said apart from the last sentence... Can't say I'll call anything we've seen in the last 6 years a 'great series'... Great for QLD sure but jeez... Everytime I watch the Origin, I make sure I lock up the remotecontrol and have no 'throwable' items around me because I don't want to destroy my 42inch LCD TV...

I think Stewart, Uate, Gordon, Lawrence and Hayne have to be in the backline and Jennings is also a must if his in form. That causes a problem because that is 6 going into 5 and no right centre.

I would think Jennings would cover right centre because his played there before and might meaning moving hayne to 6 with either Mullen or Soward at 7. If Farah is at hooker I think it could work becuase he help organize, so I think a team of:

1 Stewart
2 Uate
3 Lawrence
4 Jennings
5 Gordon
6 Hayne
7 Mullen
13 Gallen
12 Lewis
11 Scott
10 Mannah
9 Farah
8 Snowden

14 Bird
15 Watmough
16 Grant
17 TLL

Hayne has a lot to improve on before I would feel safe with him playing 5/8, he definitely has potential there though

some utillity

1. Pearce should never be selected again.
2. Hayne needs to be at centre for the long range kicking option
3. Jenning is very very very unlucky
4. Bring Watmough on when the foward are tired
5. Don't play without either TLL or Gallen on the field (unless injured etc)
6. We need to find someone like craig wing

I agree, I personally hope he is back in the #1 for parramatta next year. As the chief playmaker hayne does struggle with the responsibility but we have all seen how good he is with the ball in hand. If someone like Mullens could take responsibility for most of the long and tactical kicking it then IMO Hayne would be able to inject himself as he does from fullback. Defensively he coped last year in the centres which is much the same responsibility as he would have at 5-8.

If NSW had a few quality halves I would happily have then there but Pearce is useless as they come, Soward and Mullen are good while 3 of the best outside backs in NSW are Stewart Hayne and Dugan. Trying to get the best players to see more of the ball, QLD did it with Hunt and they chose him over Prince at the time and IMO Hayne is a much better ball player then Hunt.

Hayne needs to be in a position that stops him from passing the freakin ball.

Centre suited him perfectly because he is there to run, and run is what he does best.

It's Mullen for one... 2ndly Mullen is crap...

You forgot Uate and Flash Gordon. I'd put both of them up there with them if not higher than Dugan or Hayne at the moment. Stewart has been class though.

Agreed, I though originally a team of

1. Dugan / Stewart
2. Gordon
3. Lawrence
4. Hayne
5. Uate
would be a great 1-5 also, although hayne only ever seems to go well on the left hand side... So maybe make Lawrence play on the right

We should have alot of depth in the backs next year except in the halves. Getting back to where we used to be.

Halves are our only real problem, if injury is kind to us with the outside backs next year.

Farah can play 80, and Creagh, Scott, Bird, and Lewis can all play in the backline, so we don't need a bench utility. I feel certain Gidley will be picked again though.
