It would be niave to think there are not NRL clubs out there with some room under the cap to make a play for Carney. It certainly won't be the Panthers, but I won't be the least surprised if an NRL club signs him up.

I understand france is alot easier to get a visa but they are apart of the esl (obviously ) and wouldn't be let into the country to play away games. Unless they just signed him to play home games , in which case they would prob still end up in the top 4 lol.

Dont know for a fact, but that can't be right surely Greg Bird's rap sheet was as bad if not worse than Carney's and that didn't affect him.

As for not playing "away" games, I doubt you need the same type of visa clearance.

When I worked in the UK on my Aussie Passport (with UK Visa), they sent me to Europe a few times for work (France, Italy) and I didn't need any visa, so I think it would be the same.

As Canard said, playing for Les Catalans would allow him to play away games in England. Different rules.
