2012 30 man squad

My problem is ive never actually seen Penehe do anything.

I dont believe Ivan has even the base skills to make him a success at first grade - he lacks the pace and the footwork to play in the centres.

Without placing too much emphasis on the 20s, to start the 2010 season (when we were travelling pretty ordinarily) he was easily the stand-out in our squad -- I think it was around round 7 when he ruptured his ACL. I don't know if you saw any of those games, or noticed him in any way -- but it's far to say that's where I saw his promise (likely Dean Bell, too). 2011 he has been coming back from the ACL... I tend to cut him some slack. But maybe you're right -- time will tell.

you either havent seen him play much or you're a really bad judge of rugby league talent.

Shoulda kept Gavet and flicked Sione Lousi

No ive seen him play plenty of times and stand by original comment. I dont see a lot that excites me about him.

I'll go as far as to say I think it's unlikely that he'll ever play a single first grade game in the NRL

Gotta think the Dogs made Gavet an offer he couldn't refuse. Same as Seulini - got offered too much to turn down elsewhere.

Would agree with Seluini -- but as I understood it, he had a year to run on his contract with us, but Bluey told him to look elsewhere -- does that sound familiar? I thought he re-signed with us last year?

Pretty much seems to me like Bluey recognised we have too many second rowers and needed a couple of props - and he clearly rates Ta'ai over Gavet, which I think is fair. Ukuma won't be your typical undersized second row convert - he's a friggin monster, and with an offseason spent bulking up could come back built like Feka. Man I miss Feka.

Isn't Gavet a prop, and NSW Cup prop of the year at that?

Yep he is, or was... Word was Bluey saw him more as a backrower, and the Dogs signed him as such.

I don't know much about Ivan Penehe, but i remember him from the grand final in the NSW Cup. Wasn't he the one that cost us the game winning try in the last 30 seconds?

I already have money on warriors to win the premiership next year , you guys are so strong all over the park and I really like your spine in 1,6,7 and 9 right up there with the storm.

If you guys can cover the centres you will be a very hard team to beat and I think Ropati and Hurell could be a great partnership.
