WWE Royal Rumble 2012 - The Road to WrestleMania XXVIII *SPOILERS*

Just read some of the comments after Sheamus won, biggest WWE trolling yet.

People upset because Jeritroll didn't win. Yet had he won people would've moaned about how predictable it was. It was a fun rumble, especially at the start, they got the jokes out of the way early, then at the end it got serious. My only big gripes were how they treated several talented guys (Primo, Epico, Hunico, Gabriel, Riley), and how after dominating for so long, they sent Rhodes and Miz out with such a small wimper.

Sheamus winning isn't a bad result. He was on the cusp of the ME and now he has the push he needs. If he doesn't succeed this time around, then he shouldn't warrant another push for a long time.

Not good hearing that Cole, Lawler and Booker were entered though. Much preferred to have seen some legends such as Neidhardt, DDP or even HBK. Either that, or give some NXT guys a chance.

Glad they kept it at a 30 man rumble, as it lacked star power as it is.

I have watched every Rumble, and I don't think I've seen a worse one. When we got to 20, I thought that they had deliberately stacked the last 10 entrants for an overwhelming finish. They had stacked the end, somewhat. But it was very underwhelming.

I love the veterans like Foley, Duggan and Lawler, but their participation in the Rumble is a joke.

The whole Sock vs Cobra thing was predictable and heinously gimmicky.

Khali is awful.

Piss Cole off.

Sheamus wins? What a joke.

I would have much preferred Randy Orton to win. Of the 30, the only 2 who were worthy to win that event were him and Jericho.

Personally, thinking about it. I wouldnt have minded Bryan/Punk coming in at 30, winning the rumble setting up Bryan V Punk at WM for undisputed championship and merging the belts.

I dont know how the rest of the WM card would look, but Bryan V Punk, Rock V Cena, Taker V someone

On that, i think they should abolish the MITB PPV and have a MITB at WM with Ziggler/Sheamus winning it

The talent pool isn't deep enough now to have 2 main titles.

Totally agree. I would even argue that it never really was. Having 2 main titles has only been to the detriment of the credibility of the belts.

The World Heavyweight Title is akin to the Intercontinental title of old really- since 2010, look at some of the chumps who have held it. Swagger (mid-carder), Rey Mysterio (an entertaining mid-carder), Dolph Ziggler (mid-carder), Mark Henry (gimmick), Daniel Bryan (mid-carder).

The Intercontinental belt has a proud history, but it's more or less disintegrated since the mid-90's. Shelton Benjamin, Carlito, Johnny Nitro, Kofi, Santino...it's a joke.

Overall a dissapointing card. All the matches were pretty weak. Punk and Ziggler was the best of them.

The rumble was ok, nothing special. The ending seemed to drag on a bit I think. WWE really likes to do this last two stay in for a few minutes thing (Ever since Shawn/Taker did it very good), but these two failed to get the atmosphere up.

A few suprise entrants made for a laugh. Ricardo, Foley, Road Dog, Hacksaw. Its amazing the pop these guys get.

Am I the only one who loves Santino as well? I know hes prob not championship material, but this guy brings some of the more memorable moments for me. They shouldnt make him to be such a jobber

Agreed. If they're not gonna have the split the brands, merge it with the WWE Championship or just put it to rest. It looks more like a championship belt then the WWE Championship, spinning or not.

I think Santino is hilarious. But he should only be a sideshow.
