Mountains out of molehills. The right team won.
The Tigers will be top 4. Sharks won't make the 8. The better team won. Benji was playing shit half the game and the Tigers were ahead for most of it.

How many teams could have the best player in the world playing shit and still lead for the majority of the game.

Tigpies deserved to win and would have been dissapointed if they lost on the back of that fluke kickoff.

Is he on the Tigers payroll?

What an absolutely disgusting performance that was today. Single-handedly got the Tigers over the line.

He must be dropped IMMEDIATELY for the good of the game.

As a neutral supporter I think Maxwell sure made some 'weird'
decisions, however agree that it seems the decisions that
were game-changing certainly favored Wests.

What a load of shit. Where in the rules does it say kicking ahead is always taking advantage? You just made that up. The interpretation used to be that if the ball was advanced 10m advantage was taken. But the rule has been changed back to referee discretion. Nowhere is there mention of whether the ball was kicked.

"The Referee is the sole judge of what constitutes an advantage be it tactical or territorial."

You missed a sentence.

The opponent must have adequate opportunity to take advantage and endeavour to do so before play is allowed to proceed.

The interpretation is, and always has been, that a kick ahead is endeavouring to take your advantage.

While we've got the rule book open, let's look at Section 14, point 3 shall we?

An off side player is placed onside if:
(a) an opponent moves ten metres or more with the ball.
(b) an opponent touches the ball without retaining it.
(c) one of his own team in possession of the ball runs in front of him.
(d) one of his own team kicks or knocks the ball forward and takes up a position in front of him in the field of play.
(e) he retires behind the point where the ball was last touched by one of his own team.

Hmmm..... wonder where that might come in?

No it's not, you are wrong as usual. It should have been a tigers feed 10m out, but If we lost I wouldnt have blamed the loss on that.

Skeepe's right. Canberra were the better team today. Canberra deserved to win last year. Canberra will beat the Tigers in 2012 and if not, it will be the fault of the refs. Long live Canberra!

Seriously, the Sharks are cursed.

Can we have a replay of the 2010 Tigers v Canberra semi final to give Terry Campese an opportunity to play the ball correctly, and not 5m over the mark?

Nonsense. Utter nonsense.

The Referee is the sole judge of what constitutes an advantage.

That is the rule.

There has never ever ever been any interpretation that ever used the word kick in any way. You just made that up. The interpretation that was placed on it was the 10m radius situation, which was criticised so much that they went back to straight referee discretion. Are you are referee? By your slander of refs you clearly aren't. I guarantee the rule you have just made up is a complete load of bullshit.
