agree with this..
some very soft coaching calls by Price...
Scott is out of form because he hasnt been allowed to settle into the back row... the one game he played at lock i thought he showed glimpses of getting back into form..
and the sooner Hornby retires the sooner it will force them to re-evaluate the qualites needed to play half back... i think they will then move soward to half and Stanley to 6... the sooner this happens the better.

Agree with that but I guess Stanley will be at 1/2. He would be better at 5/8 but I think he is a better 1/2 than Soward. If it is to be this season, Hornby will have to be pushed into retiring. I don't think there is a place for him in the top 17 but he would be an outstanding utility for the kind of situation they find themselves in now with King and Fein out.

Not sure why we think pushing Hornby out is the solution? He’s not flashy I agree but his job is to lead and direct us around the park. Thrusting Stanley in the halves is not the answer right now. You need confidence and leadership in the halves, and not sure if he has that yet. A few more games in the centres is what he needs, then into the halves next year.

Hornby will be more effective once our forwards aim up. The props and De Belin have been doing it alone the first 5 rounds. Once we get a consistent go forward without all the mistakes, Hornby will be fine IMO

Vidot should have been moved to centre or Green should have been promoted it was a safe option but imo a soft c**k approach by Price and if he persists he won't last to long.

Scott isn't be the same player as he was in 2010 or 2011 he has taken the money and split so he should be dropped for some one who is sticking around its rather embarrassing he is getting out played by De Belin by a long way.

Soward again has been poor his kicking game other than the kick to Morris was ordinary and goal kicking not much better to be honest I am not a big fan period.

Its easy to blame Hornby but he was never meant to be a half he was moved because Doust and his incompitence to attract a good half to the club.

Ahh that halves combo has taken us to 2 minor premierships and the 2010 victory plus the most extended period of success the club has enjoyed for decades. Too bad they can't get you onside as a fan.

Anyone calling for Hornby to retire based on his age should be wanting Cooper gone as well.

I'm happy to see both continue and retire on their own terms. They are both champion Dragons.

how insightful..
i suppose using your logic Parra need to bring back Sterling and Kenny, who as their halves combo took them to all their success...

players lose their spark...

And just to add to what Mr Red said, during that time their attack was never so good but I guess Bennett thought Stanley wasn't up to it yet. Maybe he isn't but I'm just saying now would be a good time to give it a try and have Hornby coming on a replacement hooker/ utility for the next 3 weeks while Fein and King are both out.

Maybe Bennett always planned on leaving so didn't want to set them up for sustained success. This would explain the number of veterans in the team. For sure on form Cooper should still be there. Hornby, Young and Fein haven't been playing badly but I think on form and ability, there are other players who could be much better for the team. Young doesn't need to use much creativity. He doesn't trouble the defence but he still runs hard and doesn't miss many tackles. IMO Hornby and Fein shouldn't be in the top 17. I could be wrong but does anyone really believe the Dragons can win the competition this year with Fein, Hornby and Young in the top 17?

As a 7 last year Hornby made 2 try assists for the entire year, as a 7 I hope this year he's making a lot lot more.

And once more for the slow among us:

HE....DID....NOT....PLAY....CENTRE....LAST....WEEK. HE....PLAYED....BACKROW.

Lol seriously what game were some of you guys watching???

Unless beau Scott Was wearing a blonde wig out in right centre on Friday night?

Prior played centre. And he was shit. That's probably why you got them both confused with each other because they are both in bad form
