Jamie Buhrer is a good player if he was a queenslander I don't even think his selection would be questioned, he can cover hooker, second row, lock, centres. If Brett Stewart or one of the halves go down you'd probably move Hayne to 6 and bring Buhrer off the bench and if one of the wingers go down than you could just move Morris out. Offers the same as Hinchcliffe difference is I think he has more upside.

He's guaranteed a spot in his team every week... he's one of the best youngsters in the game. Don't agree with his selection at utility but it shouldn't take away from how good a prospect he is.

He looks like a tackler, but so do 50 other backrowers. He's not big, doesn't look like a runner. To me he looks like a 5/8 playing in the backrow. What the bloody hell is he doing in SOO, especially in front of the likes of Simms?

Fair enough, I personally wouldn't have picked him either. But he's definitely got the talent to be an Origin player of the future. Plenty of ticker, crisp passing game, good defender, pretty nippy with great footwork at the line. Also runs good holes.

I just hope he doesn't get hung out to dry if he doesn't deliver. Plenty of pressure on the young bloke, with plenty of people already rubbishing him.

Selected before his time? Maybe, but give him a chance, you might be surprised by what he can do.
