How do you guys know what plans different coaches have? How do you know Ando had no plans?
This is the thing that sometimes makes me laugh reading on here. Some of the people that get on here claiming da had no future plans for the club are the same ones who posted things stating how when da took over and evaluated what he had to work with he made comments like "he did what?!" when he looked at some of hagan's long term recruitment/retention. Those same people also conveniently forget da's decision to let finch look elsewhere because he wasn't seen as being parra's future 7. Hardly sounds like someone with no plan and the start of 2009 had a number of off field distractions stopping our side from clicking earlier.

But that's neither here nor there now. Anderson isn't here anymore and sk is. Hopefully he starts getting the side clicking soon.

Well said, mate. At the end of the day, we all must agree to disagree on what has happened in the past and why. For the record, I share your opinion. Others, obviously, do not. What we must not lose sight of (which happens too often around here) is that we are all Eels fans who just want our side winning regularly again.

Mr Kearney, your time is now...

he also made the call to not get into a bidding war over Feleti and Inu .... whether it is the right or wrong call, who f'n knows - but it shows he was thinking of the future and not prepared to pay what he thought was overs and get into a bad cap situation

but as you said - its history

It's definitely the wrong call when you consider we got into a bidding war for Mortimer.

who did the bidding? who knows if it was ando or ossie or both?

even then, end result was a $250K salary as opposed to a $400K salary ... I don't give a shit what u merkins say, Morts was a valuable member of our team in 09

They should just cheat and buy all the best young players. That'll speed the process up, and if they get busted then can just let one of them go and keep the rest and continue to be awesome.

its f**king true!!! ... cheat, get caught, lose all your points for a season - so what, we are already sacrificing seasons for the greater good now, just do it in a different way

. And when his name is inevitably linked to Parramatta and Canberra, it won't be in the guise of a red herring that Canterbury used to disguise their bid for Des Hasler last year.

Be assured that Eels deputy chairman Sid Kelly desperately wanted to hire Stuart in late 2010, only to be overruled when the board opted for Steve Kearney.

Support for Stuart is once again rising at Parramatta, which has deeper problems than Kearney's record of seven wins from 36 starts.

Despite being flush with cash, the club's recruitment strike rate is even more distressing.

There's now a growing feeling that Tony Williams, Beau Scott or Wade Graham might've signed had a coach of Stuart's profile and salesmanship been there.

It sounds like Sid Kelly might have given him a call. "It wasn't me Josh - it was them.I wanted Ricky.". If the ship goes down Sid you're going with it!

If we lose our next couple of games it will make us mathematically impossible to make the 8 and coincide with the end of the origin series. Stuart may have achieved his orgin objective by then and may take the next biggest challenge in Australian Sport.

 The Tell-Ya-Crap. What would we wrap the fish & chips in if they couldn't make money off writing Parramatta Eels stories?

Or should I be saying "Where's there's smoke, ..." ???

If this crap doesn't fire up the boys for the Rabbitohs game, then nothing will.

Go the Eels!
