Where did you pre order?

I got mine with Gamesmen and they told me that the street date was "extremely strict" (which i found odd more then anything)

lol they say that about every street date..

In short, I get games early (early meaning whenever the distributor supplies the tittles to the retailers). Apparently it gets shipped to all stores tomorrow.

My advice is to annoy as many retailers as possible, someone always breaks the street date.

Yeah mate, it does come out on thursday but you should consider not buying from EB Games, JB HiFi are selling it for $69 Limited Edition and Big W are $68 Standard

Hex on Good Game gave it a 9, Bajo an 8.

I will pick it up later in the year. I really liked the look of it, and how Hex went on about the characters and caring about them.

Story in single player games is king.

Picked up a copy today, sunk a couple of hours into it. It's quite fun, though something about the driving seems off, though that's probably just result of being used to the driving in GTA.

EDIT: I like the fact there isn't a cop around every second corner like in GTA.

I'm loving that aspect too Parra... Also when completing a tailing mission you can get as close as you want to the car your following and they won't get suspicious unless you start driving like a maniac.. Brilliant...

Totally loving the game and taking my time with it...

Yes Tonearm plenty to do in the city between missions... Tonight I'm gonna wear the Bruce Lee costume from Enter The Dragon and partake in the fight clubs around the city...

Collectibles are too easy to find, I've gotten all but four of the health shrines, three statues, and 12 lockboxes just by cruising around randomly.

And I'm still not used to the driving, I've read so many comments complementing the driving system, but it just doesn't feel right. I like the idea behind the actio hijacking, but it doesn't seem to work properly, I'm sitting behind a car for a good minute or so waiting for the arrow to turn green so I can jump. Great idea, poor implementation (unless I'm the only one experiencing that difficulty).

In my experience with the action hijacking you seem to have to get closer towards the passenger side of the car you wan to jump to...

I think there are a lot of great ideas and mechanics especially for an open world action title but some of it is poorly explained (some of the mini games) and in some cases implemented (like the fighting system is fun but using lock on targeting during fights is horrible).

Driving seems similar to GTA but it gets jerky at times. Control the camera around corners.

Fun game so far after about 20 minutes.

I never even bothered to try locking on in combat, much easier to just auto focus on whoever, and just be ready to tap Y when someone glows red.

I think the damage done to your car is rather disappointing too, I tap a pole slightly and get this massive scratch across the hood, how does that work?

It does my head in how you have to fight 5 guys then another 5 guys show up... And then another 5 show up. I'm only on the first friggin mission in the open world but I have had to rage quit.

I was hoping that there would be a choice to side with the police, or flip and side with the Sun On Yee, no such luck.

Loving it so far. The driving is a bit unususal but I like all the fighting.
