What I think is a more interesting questions is, which player won a premiership but played the least amount of first grade games? There is bound to be some blokes who played only a handful of first grade games in their career yet managed to jag a spot in a grand final side that won. And I'm not talking about union converts in the early days or blokes who came from the old BRL who were essentially first graders but in a different comp. I mean blokes who got promoted from reggies for a few games but just happened to do it at the right time.

John Rheinberger takes the cake, but if Mahe Fonua were to play today it would be his 5th first grade game.

Fair call but in general I didn't think he was too good a player. Played well in the GF which does go a long way though.

I deliberately didn't consider guys like Anthony Quinn and Buhrer as they have, somehow, played rep footy. I don't put people with a SOO or test jumper on these sort of lists.

I think Rudder has won about 3 more premierships. They are in a park rugby union comp but still lol.

IMO Preston bombs were the game turner. Mini shat himself trying to catch them.

Disagree. Sattler's tackle was an inspiration, and you could feel the game change after that.

Priddis' role was great, but doesn't compare to the tackle.

To be honest, I think this thread is pretty disrespectful. It's a TEAM game, and all players that have won a comp have genuinly contributed to the team. We certainly have no idea of the input of players off the field, of calming their teammates under pressure in the GF, etc.
