How do you know it wasn't because of money? If we were becoming Storm clones, as the haters like to say, then we wouldn't have been prepared to spend big money on forwards.

How do you know it wasn't because of the coach? The offers could have been (and it is likely) pretty similar and the deciding factor was the coach/state of the team
Players get out of contracts all the time. Gareth Ellis did it in reverse to the Tigers this year. Is it possible that maybe he wants to test himself in the NRL and had a stipulation written into his current wigan contract - kind of like what most coaches do?
Or is the only plausible scenario being that he's a shit player that Wigan don't want - even though they recently signed him to a long term deal- who somehow made the national squad?
