He has been an awesome runner this season, his one day game has helped him improve that. We'll see how it plays out.. I think if Hughes gets caught out in a familiar fashion again against Sri Lanka's like he was against NZ, then demons will creep back him. However I hope he takes his opportunity with both hands this time. He seems to get more opportunities than alot of other guys have.

In Hughes favour are 7 matches against Sri Lanka and India, not the sort that will seriously test his technique against quick bowlers, and only Hobart is a real seamers pitch. I hope he goes well on recall, wouldnt have selected him just yet though.

I'm not a big fan of Hughes but I respect that the selectors are trying to choose someone on form. Looking at this shield season, he is definitiely next in line based on runs.

Johnson can only look half decent at the WACA, imagine him bowling his usual shit at Adelaide or that road we played on at the Gabba, we wouldn't even be talking about him if he played in the first two but he gets given an armchair ride on the fastest bounciest WACA pitch that we've seen in years.
