I like this.
I like the fact that the club is taking a strong stand on respect, behaviour and desire to play the Eels.

Then I$rael's brother, that'll teach the merkin about how your decisions can affect others.

It might seem petty but there is good reason for the club to get rid of John Folau. Given the ill will between the club and Israel Folau, it's understandable that John's loyalties will be strained. I'm sure this is why we got rid of Joel Reddy.

For all the talk about "blah blah should be professional enough to blah blah blah", the fact is it's not good for anyone for an employee to be placed in that position. It can be hard staying motivated when you're expected to split your loyalty between two parties at odds with each other. I've had first hand experience of it, where an employee was sacked and felt he had been wronged (I thought the company had valid grounds for sacking him), and his sons, who also worked there, became disgruntled employees because they believed the company had f**ked their old man over. They ended up getting the arse for being whiny, unproductive merkins. Before their old man was sacked they were good workers.

The club has (rightly) said some pretty harsh things about Folau, and Folau (rightly) feels slighted. How does John Folau now feel playing for a club that has publicly put shit on his brother? It could be best if he and us parted ways.

Parramatta Eels terminate Jamil Hopoate's contract over rookie camp discipline breaches

Jamil Hopoate, son of former NRL player John Hopoate, has had his NRL contract with the Parramatta Eels terminated in response to his behaviour at a rookie camp on the weekend.

The Eels confirmed the youngest Hopoate's departure from the club in a media release on Tuesday, and have launched a full investigation into his behaviour at the camp.
The club's statement claims that Hopoate "left the premises of a Rookie Camp in Sydney despite being given specific instructions on more than one occasion not to do so.
"Furthermore, he did not attend formal presentations scheduled at the camp."
Eels CEO Ken Edwards said, "Unfortunately Jamil has failed to respond to on-going support, tutoring and mentoring from our dedicated coaching staff as well as our Welfare and Education Department.
"Parramatta has offered to provide on-going support and counselling to Jamil."
This is the latest in a long line of incidents for the 18-year-old Hopoate, who was recently suspended from driving for 6 months after pleading guilty to mid-range drink driving in October.
That indiscretion led to the end of the Hopoate family's 20-year relationship with Manly, provoking Jamal's short-lived move to Parramatta.

A chip off the old block. I'd like to think that his older brother is an entirely sensible young man but then again he's a mormon.
