Could you find a post where I mentioned not paying people is accepted normal business practice?

I want everyone to be paid employees and creditors.

Having not studied for a law degree - therefore making me unworthy to discuss things with Whats Next, I find it enlightening that other creditors can now jmp on as part of the AO wind up orders as petitioning creditors. Geez, that opened up a pandora's box of bad news for Tinks and the Knights.

So as I read it, even IF he paid all the money he owes to the Knights and the ATO, some plumber from Maitland that Tinkler hasnt paid can still bring it all crashing down. Correct?

Cheering for 1000s of people being made unemployed. Good attitude

Tinks would rather they work for free without super and other entitlements.

Cheering for local businesses not getting paid. Good attitude.

How's the Knights reputation in Newy? Will any tradies do anything for the club when they know they won't get paid?

It's really sad how many of you are revelling in potential hardship for our club. I would usually only expect it from the Canberra nonces.

What is it about our club having difficulties that would make you all so excited? Is it just so you can be right on the internet? lol. I implore you to take a gander at who you'd be lauding it over, even if you are right this instance. You're not exactly gonna grow a 50 inch e-penis.

Liquidators of Nathan Tinkler’s Mulsanne Resources have applied to examine the former billionnaire and three associates in the NSW Supreme Court.
Junior coal explorer Blackwood Corporation, which last November succeeded in appointing liquidators Ferrier Hodgson to wind up Mulsanne over a $28.4 million debt, told the stock exchange this morning that it had applied to the Supreme Court to issue public examination summonses on Mr Tinkler, fellow directors Troy Palmer and Matthew Keen and former company secretary Aimee Hyde. The application was filed on Monday.
Mulsanne agreed last July to take up 95 million shares in a Blackwood placement at 30 cents a share - then a 50 per cent premium to the prevailing share price - to fund Blackwood's exploration campaign. The share placement would have given Mr Tinkler a 34 per cent stake in Blackwood. But Blackwood shares slumped last year and the company’s shares last traded at 12 cents.
Mulsanne did not go ahead with the placement and Blackwood applied for the company to be wound up. Ferrier Hodgson’s report on the affairs of Mulsanne, which has been filed with the corporate regulator, shows the shelf company has no assets and concludes further investigation is required including into the possibility of insolvent trading.

The directors of a company found to have engaged in insolvent trading can become personally liable for the company's debts and can face criminal charges and jail if they are found to have acted dishonestly.

That's an amazing attitude, me personally would never wish ill on any club.

I'm just stunned that many so called fans are defending the guy to the hilt as some sort of all conquering hero and refusing to accept that there may be some issues.

NATHAN Tinkler has blamed flooding rather than financial issues for problems at Patinack Farm's Canungra base in Queensland.

News Limited reported earlier this week that Tinkler's Queensland-based horses would be banned from running until at least next week after stewards found a broken water walker and a filthy exercise pool at the Canungra stables.

Stewards had swooped on the rural property, concerned with the scratching of all Patinack Farm-owned runners from the feature Doomben meeting last Saturday.

In a rare media statement, Tinkler now claims that recent flooding was the blame for the problems at the Canungra stables and training tracks.

''We have been struggling to hold the track together over the last couple of months since we had severe flooding,'' Tinkler said.

''This is now no longer possible and it is a good time of year to be doing track maintenance while the racing is at a lull and grass is available and growing. Our track at Canungra is not any different to any race track in Australia, it needs maintenance.''

After the stewards' inspection, vet Dr Martin Lenz reported there were no health issues with Tinkler's Queensland horses and all were being properly cared for.

Tinkler said yesterday that his higher-rated horses based at Canungra would be transferred to his Sydney facilities in preparation for the Autumn Carnival.

But he insisted it would be business as usual in Queensland once the required work was completed.
Patinack Farm's trainer John Thompson told The Age that repairs would take just under two week.

''The pool and the waterwalker are at the lowest point of the property and when our sand track was getting washed away it ended up in them,'' Thompson said.

''We have had a couple of horses not run up to scratch in the past couple of weeks and I thought there might be a virus. It might have just come from the pool because they are in it every day.

''I told the boss (Tinkler) and said don't run any of them until we get the problem fixed. He said, 'I don't want horses going to the races and people doing their money on them'.

''I have to say I was reluctant about shutting down for any time but the boss said we can start again with a new track and everything working right."

Yeah all the big guys (Woolworths, Coles etc) have traded while insolvent, it's standard procedure. Some may say it's good business practice....

Tinkler is doing just fine, I love seeing the tears, butthurt and massive vendetta against the richest club in the comp.

I can't speak for any other Knights supporters apart from myself... but the vast, vast majority that I know (real life and the forums) believe that Tinkler may or may not be in a good deal of strife. I think it's naive to take newspaper talk as anything more than slightly-educated speculation. We'll leave that in his chubby hands, to be honest... it only affects us superficially.

I wouldn't choose to defend his business practices, regardless. I do understand the will to defend the man that just pulled us out of a quagmire of debt and total stagnation, though. I understand it's hard to realise as an outsider looking in - to know the change he has affected in such a quick amount of time. In a 12 month period our crowds have soared, our membership has gone from amongst the worst in the comp to one of the strongest member bases of any club. Our match day experience is leagues ahead of where it was (which is REALLY sad, since they're not doing anything particularly flash, even now). He's given as Wayne Bennett... Darius Boyd... I mean the list just goes on, and on, and on. Regardless of his intent AND his business practices, why should we Knights fans not be able to point to all these good deeds and say "well, look, this bloke did alright by us"? I totally understand where the very few Knights fans defending him are coming from - although I don't try to defend the indefensible myself... I do believe he has earned a bit of discretion, tolerance and benefit of doubt from Knights fans. It's misguided defense, but it's rational and understandable... you'd be defending any rich guy that did the same for your club - as would the thousands of other hypocrites. You'd be right to do so.

F*ck off - you have been defending him like he's a saint!!!!!!

It seems the only people crowing about the potential hardship for the Knights are the Tinkler lovers here making light of the situation. I have had a great respect for the Knights since the SL war, and the only ill I would ever wish on them would be to lose a GF to Parra!

The lack of decent knights supporters ripping into the Tinklerphiles over this issue is amazing..Say what you like, but I see absolutely NO evidence of KMav, RP, Canard, matchball, WB or anyone else revelling in your plight. Mainly, the message is that the fat f*ckwit should get off his arse and pay the bills to keep the Knights alive.

The resistance to that comes from the Tinklerphiles.

That's an amazing attitude, me personally would never wish ill on any club.

Exactly how I feel. Its like there are no Knights supporters here any more, just Tinkler supporters. Wierd!

Perverse, why arent you attacking the Tinklerphiles who have such a nonchalant attitude to your club???

I dont want the Knights to fail.
I want your members to ditch fatso and reap as much of the bank balance as possible before Tinklers stalling and false promises realize.

Game doesnt need boof heads like this dragging the NRL's name through more controversy.
Our game hasnt matured enough for private ownership because profits arent there.
The ones that do is because they love the club, eg Russell Crowe but i doubt Tinks shares the same passion.

Having that attitude is extending a courtesy to Tinkler that coaches and players dont get. Some examples -

  • Phil Gould brought Penrith their maiden premiership. When Penrith won their second, the amount of venom they threw his way was unbelievable
  • Michael Hagan coached your second premiership - arguably the best first half in a GF ever played. From that moment on you all bagged him because he couldnt repeat it.
  • We did the same with Hagan, who at least got us to the finals when Brian Smith couldnt. Same with the Roosters and Sticky, NQ and Graham Murray.
Regardless of what good they did in the past, its what they do now that matters. Tinkler bought you lost of shiny new stuff, but he never brought you a premiership. Why are you treating him so much better than Hagan, when Tinkler has brought you to the edge of oblivion????

He brought you Bennett, who only came for the cash. He didnt get you Darius Boyd any more than a bloke dating a single mother goes and buys her some kids. Your ladder position has not improved. Your financial situation has deteriorated - once you were a poor club surviving on a meagre budget, now you are a poor club tied to a con artist who dragging you into oblivion. You are like a little tinny tied to the f*cking titanic!!!!!!!!!

It seems to me that the fans of this great working class club have f*cking lost the plot when Fat Nafan opened is wallet and the Antinov-sized moths flew out. Where is the passion to get rid of this f*ckwit out of your club before he drags you under?

How are they at risk of dying?
