The Sydney Roosters have released centre Joseph BJ Leilua from the final two years of his contract.
Fairfax Media understands that the Roosters have not been happy with Leiluas attitude and application to club duties.
It's understood that Leilua did not impress new coach Trent Robinson with concerns over his attitude towards training, as well as his off-field behaviour.
A Roosters insider said were after professional athletes, believing it was best for the club to part ways with the 21-year-old.

It comes just two weeks after prop Mose Masoe was released from his final year of contract to join the Penrith Panthers.
Leilua was given a one-year good behaviour bond in October for sending a nude photo of an ex-girlfriend to her brother and friend.
Leilua made his representative debut for City against Country Origin in Mudgee in April.
He was one of the best on field and was rewarded by being added to an extended NSW squad during this year's Origin series.
The St George junior made his debut for the Roosters mid-way through 2010 and played in the grand final loss against the Dragons the same year.
The Roosters issued a two paragraph release explaining Leiluas sacking on Tuesday and said they wouldnt make any further comment.
