Sounds like someone has never eaten a good rare steak. I have known a few people that were strictly well done types. Then they finally tried a nice medium rare steak. None of them will eat well done again.

I could well be one of them. Can't recall eating a good rare steak.

A nice medium rare works for me. I'm not a "cut off it's horns and wipe it's ass" kinda guy.

Beef is the best by far - so versatile. Stews, stir-fry, curries, pasta sauce, steaks, sausages, all the good stuff can be made with beef.

I am partial to poultry but I have read some things that keep me a little wary of it.

10/10 thread I am always up for some meat discussion.

I can easily eat a medium cooked beef steak all by itself.

Honourable mentions go to lamb and non-fish seafood.

Beef by a fair margin. Turkey and lamb go alright to and salmon when it's not over done. Over cooking salmon makes it lose it's edge.

A well done steak, cooked by anyone other than me (I suck at cooking steak).

Suck at cooking well done steaks? Place meat on cooking surface, leave for an hour, turn meat over, leave for another hour until it resembles a piece of burnt driftwood.

Is that well done as in cooked to a charred mess or well done as in cooked properly.

Turkey for mine, but a medium rare steak seared on my BBQ by me is also tops.
