The Corey Norman negotiations should have pretty much gone like this:

Manager: Hi guys, was wondering if your interested in the services of Corey Norman, he's a star 5/8th and fullback.
Parramatta: we are always on the look out for good players.
Manager: Fantastic, shall we start the bidding at 450k?
Parramatta: ill give you 3 crayons and the rest of the my coke.
Manager: Throw in 2 bottle caps and you've got a deal.

450k for Corey Norman is just crazy and the broncos would have been out of their minds to even consider matching that. Parra remind me of the stupid gambler at the casino whos just lost a few big hands and is angrily throwing more money on the table. Theyve missed out on every big name theyve gone after and are now just desperate to sign someone, anyone, even if it means throwing double the money they should be at them.

Broncos shouldnt be too concerned about this loss.

The only reason they could possibly have signed Norman for that kind of money is if Hayne is going or Hoppa isn't coming.. Can only see him playing fullback on that kind if money.

Sandow has the #7 and Hayne prob gets #6 leaving Hoppa or Norman to fight it out for fullback. That's a lot of $$$$

I dunno about Peats but I know Parra and Manly have put down good offers for Jason Clark, one of our benchies who is basically a young Michael Crocker clone

I'd be surprised if Clark leaves. He is incredibly well liked at the club and is pencilled in as a future captain. Good to see Peats retained. He is being groomed as a utility forward and a club can never have too many of them.
