Steven Price is truly stuck between a rock and a hard place. Both Fien and Drinkwater have been extremely poor. Recruitment really should have done more to recruit an alternate half back.
It was Price that pulled out of the Rangi Chase deal because he was happy with our halves selection... He can now die by that sword as far as I'm concerned. f**k him!

Wrong. Negotiations stalled with Rangi due to a management dispute. This was going to be a lengthy process and Rangi rejected the Dragons offer to remain at Castleford

Oh really???
Meanwhile, St George Illawarra coach Steve Price has revealed that the club withdrew from negotiations with England halfback Rangi Chase because he was happy with the options he had in the halves for next season. After being offered a release from Castleford to join the Dragons, Chase announced that he was staying put and Price said it had been his decision to withdraw from negotiations with the New Zealand-born playmaker.
He also said the club had not made an offer for Scott Prince, who has joined the Broncos after gaining a release from the Titans.
''We have got a number of potential halves there in Jamie Soward, Nathan Fien, Kyle Stanley and a young guy from Manly, Josh Drinkwater, and I just made the decision that I felt comfortable with the players we have got in that area at the moment,'' Price said.
His words not mine buddy.

That was just Price saving face (or trying to) after being rejected.

*ST GEORGE Illawarra’s bid to find a replacement for Ben Hornby was dealt a huge blow with England halfback Rangi Chase rejecting a return to his former club.
The Dragons are now looking at Gold Coast captain Scott Prince, who has been released and has turned his back on Super League club Hull.
Chase, 26, will remain at English Super League team Castleford, where he has played since leaving the Dragons at the end of 2008.
Castleford boss Steve Ferres said Chase had committed himself to the club.

All I got from both articles is, f**king media! lol. Whether he did pull out of negotiations or is just saying so to save face, he still looks like a numpty in the end. Our loss as a whole in the end though :(

With the cutters as shit as first grade, who do e bribg in? No one is banging down the door to be selected

Well true, but that doesnt mean a couple of the individuals shouldnt get a start and we can see if they can start to step up... if you truly believe all of the Cutters are incapable of playing 1st grade, then we are in srs trouble!

Going to be plenty of people around here with their pants down Sunday.
All our losses in the last two seasons are purely due to playing under fatigue intentionally.
If we execute our structures and processes we will win.

Not sure if you are taking the mickey! Im not sure what jagging the odd win is going to do for anybody? We need to get on with rebuilding the club with the players we want there in 1 or 2 yrs time, but right now id say less than half will still be there.

Otherwise we will be re-having this discussion in 12mths time (like we were 12mths ago).

LOL @ Price.
Round three and already he is out of answers...well played Mr.Price. you get what you deserve after neglecting the need for a half and centre since the end of 2011...

Congratulations on snapping the form slump Canberra. Not that they need much help when playing us.

Gut feel is that Price is giving the halves 3 games to show something. I'm presuming that if the result doesn't favor Saints, the halves will change.

The definition of insanity, keep doing the same thing expecting a different result. Price is officially insane.
