Agree completely. He adds so much to the team, I'd rate him on par with cam smith, difference being smith has better troops around him.

I think we just learnt our lesson with Papalii more than anything. Chase guys we can actually get at this point. Unfortunately it's only young guys who we have to pay overs for (thanks Steve Kearney)

Good on them. Like hayne he is a player who would look strange in another clubs jersey

Apparently we never got out of the gates with talkin to him. We asked how much and after his manager said 650k we backed off.
$450k for Norman and Papali, and you think $650k for Farah is to high,no wonder the Eels are missing the target on recruiting.

Yes that is the case when you come last and start rebuilding for the third time in as many years.

Remember Vagana and Toupo signing with the Sharks? Souths signing Chris Walker? All paying massive overs like us now.

Mate agree. Ridiculous. But that's what ya get when you come last and third last 2 years in a row.

Only thing is at 450k we will probably actually get Norman where at 650k Farah still would've brushed us

I am glad to see players staying at the clubs where they have grown to become top liners. Thurston, Farah and even Papali to an extent

Same... thought I suspect it has a little to do with the cap increases as well as club pride.

Mate I know how you feel,I am an old Western Suburbs supporter,we use to lose a heap of good players on a regular basis, and had many lean years, stick solid,it will turn.

That is garbage.

No way the Eels wouldn't pay 650k for Farah. They are paying more for Hoppa and almost as much for Sandow.

He is worth more then the lot of them.

Hell 450k for Norman says they would pay 1mil for Farah.

I'd say more to the point Farah wanted to stay loyal. He seems pretty loyal to the Tigers.

Good on him.

The ball is now in the Tigers court, to gets some real muscle around him, other wise he is going to look like a punch drunk pug in four years.

Anyway great player, great signing and a great person to boot--you might call him the perfect package, Farah is one person you could make the face league and know it would be in safe hands

If the Tigers can get even close to their roster on the park at the same time they wouldn't be chumps. The issue that we have had for years is plodders taking up spots that better players could be taking. Anasta should in no way be ahead of Pettybourne or Murdoch-Masila. Moltzen no way should be ahead of Tedesco. Throw in Gavet, Galloway, Groat, Thompson and our pack is pretty handy. It's just a matter of Potter having the guts to cut the overpaid, overrated deadwood. At least he's a better chance of doing so than Sheens was.

Talk about overs. Although if we end up with Dugan for anything remotely in that range we will look as stupid as Parra.
