Better idea, just give each NRL club 100k each extra a season to sign as many young SA players as possible outside the cap.

I reckon there would be a fair few young players over there that would love to be earning the money the U20's earn. Could potentially buy up a fair few and bring them through, they'd have a decent side after a few seasons playing out here. Plus the added feature of pissing the Unionites off.

Last year or the season before the roosters signed 1 or 2 SA union players, it didn't work out, but nothing is guaranteed working out 100% of the time. Who's to say the next 10 young players offered a contract don't go on to bigger and better things.

I didn't know the Japanese Union comp was in the habit of signing players under 20 yrs of age from other countries that have obviously not made it yet.
