Things have changed and Smith has come out saying things will be handled differently in the future. Last time the salary cap man stuffed up big time and I am sure that in the not distant future you will find that he is gone or he is part of a panel.

Jenninga, I think is odd that on each occasion no matter what the subject, we find ourselves on the opposite side of a discussion.

Are you genuine or are you just one of those rats who hate possms.
I know i was being sarcastic ,but it was the comment itself the sarcasm was aimed for ,not because it was from you.
I know we have the odd clash, but it is nothing personal, you sound like a good person/possm.

Based on today's news from a very involved source but outside the club, the JMoz rumor is the most likely of any current talk
Also that 2013 isn't the priority any longer. Price in 2014 is also very unlikely
I guess the new player selection without his input is indicative that this is likely
If I had to have a stab at the 2014 lineup based on current info it would be
Dugan
Morris
Farrell
Morris
Widdop
Chase or Williams
Nightingale
Stockwell
King
Hunt
Thompson
Creagh
Merrin

Rein
De Belin
Prior
Frizzell

The ARLC won't chip in money to help one club secure a player to the disadvantage of all other clubs in the game. Would defeat the purpose of the Salary Cap.

Sorry without some further major bolstering of the forward pack that side would not be a threat

Please don't spend a bundle on JMoz and miss out on the forwards. Keep the cash, release Prior and Vidot and sign two big units. We'll be ok at centre.

So no Beale in ur team? I rate Beale better than Farrell also expect the dragons to sign a couple of front rowers

Any 2 off contract big units worth mentioning? There's a couple on the market but none that cost a whole lot...

Matulino is your big man off contract if you're looking for one. Personally I'd be inclined to send JDB to the gym for months on end until he has 6 or 7 kilo more muscle on him. He runs without fear and has an offload, what more do you need?

Oh, and chicks dig him so our crowd numbers will be better when he plays.

Lethal 25 glad u mentioned JDb for some reason he has dropped 5 or 6 kilograms from last year. I thought that was a strange move considering the dragons r playing him in the front row this year. But somone in the club has decided he needed to drop weight in order to get the best out of him.

After a slow start to the year where he had trouble bending the line his last four week's have been outstanding. . I have a feeling Steve Folks has a lot to do with shaping JDB

Matulino would be a massive signing. I don't think he would ever leave NZ. But he's one of the worlds premier props.

Matulino, Kasiano and Coopr from the Uk. That's what we need up front. So who's left for first grade at this stage:

Hunt
Stockwell
De Belin
Cooper
Matulino
Kasiano
Merrin if required

My belief is USUALLY you need two props on the bench and it helps if they can also play in the backrow - De Belin and Stockwell. So that leaves two of the above to cover for injuries and form lapses. On top of this you will also get props coming through the Cutters and possibly the NYC.

Our run on forward pack could look like this:

Matulino
King
Sockwell
Creagh
Harrison
Merrin

Kasiano
De Belin
Thompson
Rein

Reserve Forwards
Hunt - 8.
Cooper - 8, 10.
Frizell - 12, 13.
Garvey - 9.
Mathews - 11, 12.
Cook - 9.
Wakemen - 8, 10.
Seru - 8, 10.
Hancock 8, 10, 11, 12.

Let go: Ah Mau, Vae, Prior and Weyman. You have to let some go or your over the salary cap.

Not a bad pack of forwards.

Now for the backs:

Dugan
Morris
Morris
Beale
Nightingale
Widdop
Chase

Reserve backs:
Farrel - 6, 3, 4.
K Stanley - 6, 7.
C Stanley - 3, 4.
Runciman - 3, 4.
Vai Vai - 3, 4.
Drinkwater - 7.
Quinlan - 1, 2, 5.
Cummins - 1, 2, 5.

Let go/retire; Fien, Cooper, Soward, Vidot, Goodwin, Green.

Enough back up for the backline.

With the increase in the salary cap, we should have enough to cover this squad.

So we're going to sign Rangi Chase, Josh Morris, Sam Kasiano, Ben Matulino?

Must be nice to dream. I doubt the dragons are able to sign any of them.

sorry, but Kasiano's not leaving the Bulldogs & he would never do it to be a bench player at the Dragons

So now we are signing both Kasiano AND Matulino. A bit greedy don't you think? I'd be very happy with just one.

Kasiano is definitely not on the dragons menu. Matillino was being looked at by the club but will command big bucks and there are quite a few front rowers on the market.

Mate Fantasy Island and The Phantom are very popular watching with some of our regular posters in here.
